Hehe, yeah I tried searching Google Images to see if I could find a real pumpkin, but apparently no one has actually carved an XD yet. :P

XD XD I love the pumpkin! :D

I don't celebrate it. :P I will spend what's left of the day spamming someone and reading Middle English and High German. :P

I always regarded Halloween as a tad crazy and more than a little meaningless, so it is normal day for me too. XD Happy Halloween to everyone who cares about it though. :P

I don't think we're planning to tell ghost stories, I think we're just going to enjoy the night time around a fire.  ;D

Aww... come now, Petra! If you don't dress up, how do you intend to scare away the evil spirits this Samhain? I bet you don't even put treats out for your families' spirits? ...Yeah, ok... I just came back from talking with a professor about Gaelic and the Celtic tradition of Samhain came up... needless to say, this was one of those conversations that will pretty much always be awesome in my memory! XD *is super exhilarated, happy, giddy, joyous and that's not just the frozen latté talking*... I should calm down though... all this being overjoyed in one go could overwhelm the perennially underwhelmed and depressed... :P XD XD

If you enjoy it have fun. :) I'd rather be reading Descartes than dressed like a random character at a party, but each to his own. :P

Awesome pumpkin! I don't really celebrate it. Especially since I didn't know if our apartment complex has trick-or-treaters. But I enjoy the kids being excited about it. And I wore my pumpkin earrings yesterday :P

Well, I celebrate it, but I didn't do too much... I handed out candy to the kids  in the neighborhood... That pumpkin is AWESOME! It has to become a smiley! XD I didn't get too much candy, but I was cold in a short sleeve shirt and a thin red cape... And I had a wooden skeleton staff thinger... XD It was good though!

We handed out candy as well... there were maybe 20-30 trick-or-treaters, so there's still tons of chocolates left over. :P

When I was little, my favourite chocolates were Crispy Crunch, but I tried them now and... they aren't as great as they used to be. XD  I mean, I used to absolutely love them, and now it's like... what's so great about them, again? :P

What's everyone's favourite chocolate/candy?

Oh, hard to tell... I like Nestle Crunches a ton, as well as Resees (or however it's spelled...). In school all I eat is Crunch bars. My friends tell me I've got an unnatural obsession with them... XD

I love the regular size Crunch bars. But don't get the the fun size ones! I also love Twix!
Title: Re: Happy Halloween!
Post by: dark-daventry on November 02, 2007, 07:12:20 AM
I haven't had Twix in ages... The big crunch bars are definitely better than the fun size ones in my opinion. I remember my family used to freeze Twix for some reason...

Reeses! But generally anything with chocolate/no nuts.

I've heard of putting chocolates in the fridge before so that they don't melt, but freezing them?  Wouldn't that make them a bit too hard to eat? ???

Crunch & Twix are yummy, and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups too! XD  The only thing I don't like about Reeses is that oilyness on them. :X

Reeses Pieces, Smarties, Skittles, M&M's are ok... but I don't really consider them as good as chocolate bars. :P

I can't remember if I've frozen Reeses before... now I want to go buy some and try it. :P

I don't like candy bars as much as other candies. I love Skittles and Reeses pieces. XD

York Peppermint Patties are pretty good frozen... but I'm not sure about other candy. *shrug*

My favorite has to be just about anything with peanut butter in it, or back when they still made them Bar-None were very good.

I agree with Neil about Reese's Peanut Butter Cups being too oily. It actually messes with my tummy. :( But I LOVE Reese's Pieces and Skittles!

We never have anybody come to my house trick or treating, but maybe sometime we can give out TimTams!

....Then again, I'd rather just eat them myself....

Anyway, now, I've got to try freezing one of the Reese's cups I got trick-or-treating.

BTW, I got like 4 lbs of candy, and yes, I did weigh them. XD

Title: Re: Happy Halloween!

I went as Indiana Jones. A few years ago I went as King Graham and
everybody was like, "Are you Peter Pan?" "Are you a knight?" "Robin Hood with a red shirt?"

Me: "Nope, I'm King Graham!"
Them: "Huh?"
"Don't worry, Mary-Anne, Halloween isn't how it was when we were young'ns."
Me:   ::)

Them: *shut door*

21 MINUTES LATER

Me: *rings doorbell*
Them: "Hello there!"
Me: "Trick or treat!"
Them: "Just take two....what are you, Peter Pan with a red shirt?"
Me: ".....Yeah, we didn't have any green ones.... :-\"

That's sooooo cool! !!! I've always wanted a King Graham hat.

Nice! XD  You do look like Graham, except the hat is a bit too green. :P  We actually changed the hat colour from aqua to blue in TSL.

lol. That's funny! I used to dress up as something, or someone, then I just improvised and made up my own costumes. One of my favorite ones, which gets heavily into politics, I probably can't even mention here.
I was dressed up as "Bush Devil", which is a cross between President Bush and the Devil. I didn't want to post it outside of spoiler tags in case anyone liked Bush. I don't have any pictures, but I was basically wearing a nice suit, with a bush mask, with a long red cape, which was way too big for me at the time, and devil horns. And the cape and devil horns were left over from the previous year when I went as the Devil... Yeah, I have weird costumes... XD
This year, I just went as myself, with the same red cape... XD ROFLOL You looked like a good graham though. If they ever did a live-action movie, you may be in the running for Graham.

XD Yeah, the hat we made ourselves, but we couldn't really find the correct color, so we went with green. I think it's a Robin Hood type hat style, that we found on the magical internet.
Title: Re: Happy Halloween!

The hat is most likely what made people think Robin Hood. :P

Did you take any pics of you as Indiana Jones? :say: XD

I WAS going as Casey Jones from TMNT but I screwed the mask up...Oh well.

Almost got arrested for our fire by the way, we weren't even doing anything naughty...Oh well :P

About the Reese's, they definately work freezing them, they taste better that way, and I never thought about it before, but freezing seems to get rid of that oilyness.

Ok, now I really need to try this frozen Reese thing. :P  I'll try to remember to freeze them the next time I buy them (which may not happen for another year or so, but anyway XD).

I didn't go as Casey....And I meant the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, not the new TMNT movie :P

Well we had the fire behind where my friend works, at the dump, in the woods, in a fire ring...Completely safe, nothing wrong with it, no houses anywhere around..But a cop was parked outside the gate when we left (at 3AM) to get speeders in the middle of the night on a road no one uses.  ::)  Anywho, he pulled us over and yelled at us saying we were tresspassing and we might get charged but then they called my friend's boss the next and he was like "What? So what? I don't care if people were there with someone who works there."
