The BAD: Ygg in his infinite terribleness decided that my desktop does not exist. With the departure of my desktop went all of my pictures from York and Wales.
If Ygg and Microsoft (I suspect that this is actually a Windows issue and not just Ygg being his usual terrible self, but for the sake of the continuation of this sentence and end of this parenthesis let's just blame them both)... if they can be coaxed into giving me back my pictures, it'll take a miracle... either that or the sacrifice of several goats... I'm not sure yet...

The GREAT: *thumbs his nose at Ygg's terribleness* I managed to copy them to the 8 GB memory stick I'll be using for the duration of the trip... I had to do it 8 at a time, taking time out to copy the ones that it claimed were corrupt one-by-one ::)

Try the Nelimed Sinus Rinse (http://www.neilmed.com/usa/sinusrinse.php) that you can get at a Target or Walgreens. Target sells it for about $10. Anyway, I started using it about three months ago, when I wake up feeling a bit stopped up. It's gross...but it works like you wouldn't believe! Ok. XP This is going to be a long rant. XP
The BAD: I'm losing weight pretty rapidly and noticed earlier today that I was shaking.
The BAD: I keep waking up pretty much the whole household with my muffled screams.
The BAD: So exhausted. XP In part because I keep getting awoken by agonising stomach pains at ungodly hours and can't get back to sleep because
they don't stop. XP
The BAD: I'm socially dead now. ;P I don't know why, but this bothers me for some reason. XD Maybe because I was finally getting something of a life and was finally surrounded by the country's intellectual elite and making a fairly good impression.
The BAD: So horribly busy. XP My professors have varying degrees of sympathy and I have to make up a lot of exams now. ;P
The BAD: Did I mention the pain? :P
The BAD: Did I mention that I'm worrying some of my best friends half to death and that I have suicidal moments and no one can really comfort me? XD
The BAD: Appointments with professionals and specialists, which would be good but ultimately mean that I miss even more class and have to do more work.

Being unusually thin goes with the disorder anyway. You've been cursed with thinness for life... for those who think that doesn't sound like a curse they must be reminded that it comes with exceptional pain.

You definitely need to find something filling you can eat that doesn't upset your stomach. Ach! *just remembered* you could be ultra-sensitive to stuff in water: be sure to only drink filtered water.

You're probably socially dead because of the next two things. Ne t'inquiete pas. The pain DOES eventually go away when your condition enters remission, and you won't be busy forever. I'm sure your social life will return quite well on its own as soon as you have time for one. :) :)

It goes with the territory... it primarily goes with the territory of transitioning into understanding your condition, so like the busyness, it too will go away. Be sure there's a nutritionist to help with diet control stuff.

People encouraged me in high school that it would end in college. To some extent, this is actually true: in high school, you are exposed more or less to all the drama of the people in your class, but in college, the drama you get is the drama you pick... It's pretty often misdiagnosed as IBS or endometrial cancer as the symptoms are so similar and it's impossible to confirm without a laproscopy. The average time it takes to get the correct diagnosis after one starts displaying symptoms of this disease is 10 years, so I can't really complain that much. :P

The only purpose wedding rings really have these days is to warn others that the lady in question is already taken. Well, be prepared/continue to give of your time, patience, and MOST IMPORTANTLY sympathy (there is far too little sympathy in this world). In particular, giving of your time doesn't have to be as draining as giving of sympathy and patience could be: hanging out or movies for instance can recharge both of you a lot more than your giving time and understanding to listen to him grouse (but it's important that you be able to listen to each other grouse from time to time :P).
As for the other girl situation, you should discuss it, but also you should prepare yourself in your own head to know your own limits--how much do you feel you can forgive or to how much do you feel you can extend your understanding. (::) sympathy isn't a license to let people walk all over you ;P)

I've only gotten through the first season as that's only what was up on Instant Watch on Netflix. Then when I set up a my own account to go to my new place I forgot and had Battlestar Galactica sent instead. ::)

The GOOD: I should be getting a formal offer of a fellowship from Ireland shortly (according to an email I received today)... 12000euro/yr to do astrophysics research! :D :D :D
The BAD: I spent the last two weeks (err... perhaps more like two months :P hard to say) getting used the idea that I was going to France! XD
The LIKEWISE BAD: I don't want to start unraveling/unwinding anything with the program in France until I have the offer and details but they haven't sent it yet... :-\
The GOOD: heh... at least I'm not worrying... I thought a dilemma was a choice between two BAD options... what's a choice between two GOOD options?? XD XD
The GOOD: I'm 95% sure I have a job for this summer
The GOOD: Graduation is this Friday and then I'm 100% done with high school
The GOOD: I have a fantastic boyfriend I can really see myself staying with
The BAD: It's really stressful to think of trying to stay together from 2000 miles away for four years
The BAD: The job I (probably) have would force me to move about an hour away, and work until 7PM Monday-Friday, which would pretty much eliminate any time spent together on weekdays
The GOOD: The job starts after we get to spend a week together in the Keys with his aunt.
The GOOD: working out every day feeling great
The GOOD: time at home means time to get things done
The BAD: need to get up the motivation to do anything! XD
THE GOOD: Today and tomorrow I have off! :D
THE BAD: Still sunburned from Saturday. Ugh.
THE IT DOESN'T MATTER: It's already turning into a tan, so expect a brown Haids by Wednesday!

The GOOD: I have some details for Ireland.
The BAD: I lack details about what fees exactly I'd be expected to pay...
The LIKEWISE BAD: so, there are these things called "economic fees"... which are what non-EU students pay, but it's unclear if these are somehow folded into the course tuition or not...
The HRMM: the actual difference between say EU fees and non-EU fees (on their website) is in sort of a gray area... I could afford maybe 2 years without taking out a loan... then there's the question of whether or not I could save up some from the stipend that they'd be giving me or should I just plan on going into debt...
The SAD: ...my head hurts when thinking about speculative things... :(

The BAD: my potential supervisor has been incommunicado for the last few days or so... :-\
The BAD: a list of chores a mile long
The GOOD: I have most of the day to get them done
The BAD: I keep getting distracted by other chores that need doing, so I don't complete anything

Maybe they were just conciderate! Seeing noone can say no to cake but most feel bad after eating it. They just didn't want you to feel bad *nod*nod*
