TOP TEN events expected before the release of TSL
- #10 Moving walkways, robotic dogs and dangerously high, outside treadmills will be introduced into households
- #9 Soylent maroon will replace soylent green for Tuesdays ration, it will still be made from people, but younger, fresher people
- #8 Pope pepsi the 4th will be replaced by pope starbucks the 2nd
- #7 Windows 33 will be released, the first operating system installed directly into the brain
- #6 Scientists will announce that Jupiter is no longer a planet, but a "big space thingy"
- #5 Grand theft auto 154 will be turned into a hit broadway show
- #4 Hell will freeze over, destroying its economic dependent crops
- #3 The mining ship, red dwarf will return from its 100th successful mission
- #2 The cows will come home
- And # 1 The sun will run out of fuel for fusion, resulting in a massive explosion vaporizing the earth

Actually, in terms of destruction by the sun's advancement in its life, the earth would be "destroyed" by the expansion of the sun into a red giant. Our sun actually isn't in the correct stellar ball park so to speak to go "nova" (ie- undergo a supernova or just nova).
The really unfortunate thing is this means that the generations that come after us will miss out on the really good stuff: when the red giant sun gives off its outer shells to form a shiney planetary nebula! :D ...which also would kill them if they were alive to see it... but at least it would be a prettier death! :D I know... I'm a physicist... I'm weird....
Oh, and I'll be skipping #7 in favor of the Linux hyperawareness patch for the already open source normal human consciousness, thank you very much... and I won't spend as much time walking into walls or being catatonic as the Windows users. :P
