lol, that's like when someone I don't know IMs me, I ask them what their gender is. and when they give their answer, I ask "are you sure? did you check?" and if they say that they didn't check then I make them check. I like to think that everyone takes a little peek into their underroos when I tell them to check.  :suffer:

Ehh... checking for gender doesn't mean anything. All I have to do is glance down to see I'm physically female... no underroo peeking involved. ;) Now, whether or not I'm *mentally* female... that's a matter of debate.

According to a (company) training I went to a long while ago (my temporal memory is completely useless, so that's the best I can do) the (female) instructor told us there's only 'blue' and 'pink' traits, not 'male ' and 'female'. So you'd either be mentally 'pink' or 'blue'. ;D

Does the fact that I hate the color pink and love the color blue have any relevance?

I've gotten mistaken for a guy online as well, several times.

As for in person... anyone remember that button-down flannel shirt craze many years back? I used to own a woman's shirt that was of the same style, just made of denim instead of flannel. I'd wear that and blue jeans, plus I have short hair, and I used to wear low-top hiking-style boots all the time. So every so often I'd have my back facing someone for some reason, and I'd turn around and the person would get a slightly freaked out look on their face. Because I'd look like a guy from the back, but when I turned around it'd be obvious I was really a girl. Always amused me a great deal. I love playing with people's perceptions and making them do double-takes. ;D

omg jeysie hahaha meanieh!, you know what has really happened to me in person? it does no matter what, noone believes Im 21, Im a premature old! maybe its the height (as some say I dont believe so) or my personality or just my looks, lol whatever it is, its not fun to be mistaken for someone as if 28  :( wtf, we are talking about 7 years! lol :P

I don't use jeans, I love black pants (I dress mostly in black I admit), I use all kind of shirts lol I even had one that had in multishiny colors the word "sweet!" lol, I have another one that says "Super Star" and I love to be bussiness-dressed up sort of like (semi-formal), I  also wear coats and boots, that doesnt makes me old... does it? :(

Maybe I have wrinkles already or something hahaha :D I do have some grey hair! hahaha wtf, Im old :(

Don't feel bad, Say... I've had people mistaking me for being 30 years old since I was 15.

I once had one of my friends' foster mother mistake me for being her summer school teacher walking her home from school for whatever reason. :P And I've mentioned before that I've had several 30+ year old guys hit on me thinking I was around their age.

On the bright side, this has resulted in a few very funny situations several years when I've gone to a restaurant with some older friends. Some of them would get carded when ordering alcohol, but the waiter(ress) would ask me, the underage teetotaller, if I wanted an alcoholic drink, with no request for ID. Ah, irony. (Of course, now that I'm old enough to drink, this stuff is only mildly funny. ;) )

Quote from: Say on February 07, 2004, 03:59:15 AMI don't use jeans, I love black pants (I dress mostly in black I admit), I use all kind of shirts lol I even had one that had in multishiny colors the word "sweet!" lol, I have another one that says "Super Star" and I love to be bussiness-dressed up sort of like (semi-formal), I  also wear coats and boots, that doesnt makes me old... does it? :(

I dunno, your shirt choice sounds more girly and "trendy" than my own. :D

I like to dress somewhat classy myself... dressy blouses and dressy pants and a pair of sane-heeled-and-toed clunky boots. But I've been mistaken for being old even while wearing girly t-shirts and jeans, so I dunno.

Quote from: Say on February 07, 2004, 03:59:15 AMMaybe I have wrinkles already or something hahaha :D I do have some grey hair! hahaha wtf, Im old :(

You don't look wrinkly to me! I can't weigh in on the grey hair, though... none obvious in your pics, but you may have a couple stray ones that don't show up. ;) (I still remember the time Harrison whined about finding a grey hair... OMG, he's so vain sometimes...)

I don't have wrinkles or grey hair... in fact, I still have pimples, for pity's sake. And I don't wear makeup or jewelry either. So I also have no clue why people think I'm so old. :P

See, that's the funny thing. When the old guys who were hitting on me found out how old I really was, they'd all back off *really* quick.

But I agree that I also find the "older celebrity dating younger celebrity" thing to be ridiculous. No opening up the "age mismatch" debate again, though. :P

Jeysie and Say, you gals look young!  :D
I don't know why people would think you are ten years older, unless there's some aura of maturity or the way you hold yourselves. There are other reasons for people thinking you are older that have nothing to do with your image.

For example, people keep thinking I'm much younger than I am, one time in the 8th grade some guys thought I was a 6th grader for cryin' out loud. And I still look mostly the same as I did in the 8th grade, except I'm 2-3 inches taller. That's about it. I never had a growth spurt. :P

I can't specifically remember anyone mistaking my age... but if people do make that mistake, it's usually for younger rather than older. I guess I don't usually look very mature  :-\

The current older one from the team I believe it's Chris (our programming director), then followed by Dean (he's my secsay b**** alright), then followed by Mike (wtf he's cuteness and kindness made flesh and blood) at the moment that's how it is :P

I dont exactly recall who is older than who here cuz I think they are all the same age or by a year difference and I only remember right now dean's bday but I believe it comes first than mike's... and ok, where was i? lol :P

Other kq9 team facts are... :P

Cesar on the other hand its the most annoying one on the team, also competing with me on the dorkiest silly one lol :P <3

Well, in that case, you're a bit more than a year older than I, and bit more than a year younger than Harrison. You're not old, silly.

As for Say's comment... Bushie was right, the KQ9 team *is* a bunch of young upstarts. ;)

lol mike and dean and chris are all around 28~ as far as I last checked :P, Cesar is... erm, 24 right? katie is 24, let's see, there is also rich he is 25. mmmm Im 21 :P and Neil is also 21! OMG NEIL WE ARE YOUNGIEZ :P So, what is a fact is that Im the youngest director (or co-director) on the team, and Neil is the youngest assistant director <3... see neil? we kickass :D lol

SERIOUSLY though, I believe the team is young but not on a bad perspective, because there is a lot of talent, there is a lot of gathering, and there are backgrounds and bussiness experiences already on many of us as well that keeps somehow the pieces together. It's all good :)

Wooo!  YONKEY is a YOUNGIE!  :D  lol, what a nice way to celebrate my 1000'th post!   8)

Wow, I thought there were a lot more people 21 or younger on the team too.  Bushie and Akril I know are younger.  Most KQ fans are around our ages as well (late teens to 20's).  :D

And yeah, the team is extremely talented, despite the ages.  I guess having a talent/passion is something you have all your life, and knowledge/experience is what you learn as you get older.  :)

I've never figured out why guys think growing facial hair makes them look older. I mean, Harrison grew a mustache and beard to look older, and quite frankly he looks the same age to me, just with facial hair. :P Plus facial hair is unattractive, anyway, IMHO.

I agree with jeysie, guys sometimes let it grow just for the sake to look older and some just dont lol, but then again some really do!

I think facial hair its a matter of choice, I personally dont care much, but there are some guys that looks like santa that oh boy I think to that extend it soooo needs to go :P

I've only shaved it two or three times, actually, though I do trim it a bit when it gets a little long. It's not gonna end up like ZZTop's, I don't think, but hopefully it won't get brittle either. ;) Though if the girl of my dreams really loves me and really wants me to shave, I guess I'd do it.

You are so cute bushie hahaha I really just hope you wont ever ever get your heart broken, cuz you are really a true sweet guy. And you know what? the -true- girl of your dreams if she loves you she would love you with or without it, so hair is not an issue :)

ladies + facial hair sounds really wrong lol

I dont shave my face, I only take care of my eyebrows  and that's the only hair I actually take off from my face and that's with a tweezer or whatever the name is, never shave, as for the rest (neck down) that is a MUST lol :P

Quote from: Jeysie on February 21, 2004, 07:18:14 AMAs for us ladies removing facial hair... I dunno if I just have weird skin or what, but it's never that big a deal for me. I never use any shaving cream or anything on my face or body, I just dampen my skin and shave away. I occasionally get nicks, but usually only if I goof and push down too hard or something. No my problem is that my hair grows so fast I have to shave almost every day. :P Even if I use hair-removal gel instead it still doesn't last very long.

Well, if we're gonna get all icky...  :P

You should never-ever shave your facial hair! :o It would cause it to grow darker and thicker! I know it's illogical... but it's TRUE!! (or so say everyone :P)
When it comes to facial hair, I either use wax (very painful) or tweezers (painful in installments). But I usually don't bother - it's not like anyone's looking :P

Ehh... I think that's just an old wives' tale. After all, if that were true, I'd have steel hair by now or something. ;) Even if I don't shave for a long time, my facial hair never gets very thick. (Although you can obviously still see it, since I have dark hair.)

Besides, even if that's true... who cares? For one, I shave almost every day, so it's not like anyone ever sees the hair. For two, I already have naturally thick and dark hair to begin with. No sense in causing myself more pain than I need to.

And what's so icky about it? Nobody cares when guys talk about shaving... why is it such a surprise that girls have hair on other parts of their bodies besides the top of their head? As much as we'd all love for high levels of estrogen to completely retard hair growth in unwanted areas, it doesn't. ;)

Hee, consider yourself lucky, then. Reminds me of when I was in a foster home. My foster mother got all paranoid that me and the other teen girl were making sure to keep our shaving razors where the younger girls couldn't come across them. And she was like, "What do you need those for anyway? I never need to shave my legs!", and she did have this very fine, thin, blond body hair. And me and the other girl were like, "No offense, but we're not as lucky as you are, we have to shave!" :P Plus, I'm a dark brunette.

And besides, my facial hair is pretty tame, even if I don't shave for a while. I've seen some women (mostly old Puerto Rican women) sporting mustaches that would put some men to shame. Totally freaky.

As for my arms... I'm not anywhere near as hairy as a guy would be, but I'm still a tad furry for a female. :P :P I swear, something I think I have a hidden Y chromosome lurking around. :suffer:

Peace & Luv, Liz

"They" also say that shaving your facial hair causes it to grow faster.  I've shaved myself many times now and it's still growing at a very slow pace. I just shave myself two times a week. One day's hair is barely noticeable, two days you can make it out if you focus, and the third day it's getting a bit more obvious, so I shave.
Ofcourse, if "that special one" wants me to shave off my moustache, that's no problem. Like I said, I only have it because I presume it makes me look older.

Ehrm, an association-post got lost in the wrong thread?

To clarify my last post, the 'shave' is of my beard, the moustache is only trimmed once every 1.5-2 weeks. 8)

Heh. I dunno. I figure... almost everybody has to shave some part of their body... why not talk about it?

Besides, there are more embarrassing places to talk about shaving than one's face or legs. ;)

The main reason i shave is because if i have facial hair when i look at myself in the mirror i see a bit of facial resemblence to my dad, so i shave and look at myself again and everything is fine XD

If you hadnt already guessed, i dont like my dad ;D

My mom and I fight and argue all the time, but it's just because we're the same in all the wrong ways and incompatibly different in all the good ones, not because we don't love each other or because she's a mean person. (Far from it, in fact. I wish I had more of my mom's *personality*, definitely.)

It's just that while she's definitely not ugly, she's not  very pretty either. And I feel that my own looks are rather plain, so ending up looking like my mom isn't going to help. (I know that sounds mean, but I don't know how else to put it.)

Quote from: Say on February 29, 2004, 12:27:43 AMIts also really fun cuz our parents are not so tall and we are, well I sort of am, my brothers are taller than me ;P
Usually, at least in the 'civilized' world, kids tend to get taller than their parents. My dad's bigger than my mother, I'm taller than my dad, and my younger brother is the tallest of us all. ;)

If Say considers herself un-secsay and her mother gorgeous, her mother must be stunningly beautiful. In fact, it can hardly get any better than Say. ;B
