Title: Bla(n/c)k lines in thread-pages
Post by: copycat on March 05, 2004, 04:38:49 PM
It's strange, but sometimes I suddenly get black/blank lines in the middle of a page in a thread, it could be at a specific height, but it's certainly not due to a post, because it can appear anywhere in a post, in the title, in a quote, in the body, in the sig, ... anywhere. When I select the area with my cursor the text appears again, and when I de-select the text appears as normal (and smiley's and soforth). However, afterwards, the outline/border of the forums is still black/blank, because I can't select that. Any ideas? It's happened to me in several threads now but I can't check the 'height' hypothesis because there's no ruler on the side of the KQ IX-forums. ;D

I've never seen that, the only general problem I have is with Opera, and when a page doesn't load properly. Then the text gets all messed up in spots. :P

I've seen pictures not loading sometimes, hence black rectangles.  But those are outside the forum, not within. ???

I haven't seen any black lines...
I haven't noticed too many missing pictures either, though my connection is really slow right now  :-\

How is that Cesar's fault (except for in the sense that EVERYTHING around here is Cesar's fault)?  ::)

I switched to 786x1024, maximized the window, and now I can't see it either :) Except for Here (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?board=6;action=display;threadid=562;start=100#msg21258), where the link streches the forum  ;)

Oh yeah, it only appears during forum stretching.  Still, I don't know what copycat's talking about though with the black and blank lines. ???

Oh, those were actually different things.  We were trying to fix some SQL problems (which still haven't been able to be fixed yet) so the database was stopped for a bit.  We didn't lose any data, it just went offline and online a few times.

Try going to the intro page http://www.kq9.org and tell me if the intro flash loads for you.  If not then you probably have to re-install Flash.

Maybe it's the way NS6 handles this forum, because I haven't had it in NS7 (yet, fingers crossed). Or maybe it's because on this pc the resolution is 1280 x 1024 ;D)
No problem with Storm's black lines and racx_00's Flash tho. ;)
