RE-STRUCTURED TSL WEB & PR ADMINISTRATION

May 4th, 2010 - While Neil Rodrigues (Yonkey) is on a leave of absence, the administration of The Silver Lining forums will be handled by David Reese (oberonqa). This will include the day-to-day administration of the forums as well as act as a representative of The Silver Lining community within the Phoenix Online Studios team.

David has been a part of the community since 2006 and for a time served as a moderator on the forums as part of the Phoenix Online Studios PR/Web Staff. In 2010, after learning of the cease-and-desist filed by Activision, David organized the Save The Silver Lining Movement, which currently sports, among other things, an online petition with over 2,700 signatures and a Facebook group with over 700 members. His position on the Save The Silver Lining Movement will be filled by Adrienne Elliott (Waltzdancing).

Catherine DaCosta (koko_99_2001) will continue to operate as Global Moderator of the forums and assist David in the day-to-day running of the forums. Cat has been a part of the community since 2003. When The Silver Lining (then KQIX) was shut down by Vivendi, she was one of the co-founders of the Save KQIX Movement. Once the game was given the go-ahead, the TSL team extended the invitation for Cat to join them. Since then, she does her best to keep the spirit of the fans alive. Cat also met her husband, Erik (fataliomega), on the forum back in 2004 and they married in 2009.

Cesar Bittar and Katie Hallahan will be handing all press inquiries. Both Cesar and Katie are directors on The Silver Lining and each have greatly contributed to the vision that stands so near and dear to the hearts of the community.

SAVE TSL MOVEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

May 4 - Phoenix On line Studios and The Silver Lining are not unfamiliar with changes as the game has evolved, those many years ago. Our Save TSL Movement has experienced a change as David (Oberonqa) is stepping up to help POS while Neil (Yonkey) is away. With this move, he can no longer work on Save TSL as it would create a conflict with the current Cease and Desist order from Activision. David will always support Save TSL and we wish him the best of luck.

David was the founder and leader of Save TSL and did a lot of work; I hope to continue with that same dedication when he asked me to take his place. We will continue to encourage, support, and inspire our large fan community and defend it if necessary. Save TSL will continue to pressure Activision until they change their minds and not allow ten years of dedicated work to be so cruelly shut down. Together we can defeat the Cease and Desist and allow Phoenix On line Studios to finally have their silver lining.

I just want to say that it was a great pleasure working with all of you -- staff, fans, friends, enemies alike. :P  For better or worse, each and every one of you helped shape the person I am today, and for that I will forever be thankful.

I wish the team the best, and look forward to finally seeing TSL get the release it deserves. :)

Congratulations to Oberonqa for his promotion. :)

But what exactly is the reason behind Yonkey's hiatus?

I just don't have the time to dedicate towards TSL at the moment.

Sorry to hear that, Neil. You were a real asset to the team. Will we still see you around on the forums every now and then?

yeah, he's here almost every day.  I think he just doesn't have time to do actual work on the team.

posted to the site along with the article.

Good luck Oberonqa with your new position.

Bright side is that if I say indecent things now, I don't have to worry about Neil!  ::) That beeing said, sad to see you leave the team though, you have been part of it as long as I can remember, but I hope that decision to leave will turn out for the best for you.

I feel weird seeing Yonkey with a load of l'il stars instead of the great big ones, and I'll miss him being an almighty ruler!  But I trust the decisions of the team for the new members and look forward to seeing what comes.

Hey, Neil.  You take good care of yourself, okay?  These past few months haven't been kind to the TSL team, and I think everyone could use a breather with all the drama.
