Don't forget to swing by here and introduce yourself! ;D
I'm no newcomer, but I'll introduce myself!
I'm Hailey, I'm 23, and I've been following TSL for almost three years. I've been lucky enough to make a lot of buddies here and I'm so excited about the project being able to come to fruition. Rock on, TSL team! ;D
Hello I am Colin. I am a huge Kinqs Quest fan. I have been following TSL for a couple of months. I am
very excited about the latest news. Also I am interested to know if there are other New Zealanders on this message board.
Hi Colin! Welcome! ;D
Haven't heard of any New Zealanders here, but I studied abroad in New Zealand for a bit and absolutely loved it!
Hi Colin, welcome!!!
My friend studied abroad in New Zealand once, she loved it. It was a return trip for her though, since she'd been once before. I guess they were filming Lord of the Rings either during her first trip or semester there, because she bumped into Elijah Wood twice and, uhm.... well, while those stories were *our* favorite parts of her trip, they were the least favorite part of hers. :P But she loved it there overall.
I'll introduce myself as well... I go by many names but typically these days online I'm called Cray. My real name is Graham. My old forum account was Questing Character which earned me the names "Questie", "QC", "Q", "Q-meh", and "Questieh". (And let's not forget my evil counter part "Questiebil". I've been a fan of King's Quest for roughly since the dawn of time, and I've been following TSL for.... well, let's do the math.... six years? Seven years? I think seven years. Since about 2003.... so, yeah, seven. I especially love them, but in general I love everything that's high fantasy.
And, yeah, like that. And stuff.
Hi Colin! ;D *waves*
It's good to see both old fans and new fans uniting and sharing this exciting time!
For both the old and the new, I'll chime in.
I'm Nathan, 29 years old, and have followed the project for 7+ years... I joined the
forum in 2004, about a year after I found the project initially and after a long period
of gradually declining Lurking. Then the online auditions hit, and the opportunity to
become part of such a personally beloved franchise - even if unofficially - was far too
compelling to pass up. I've been here through two C&D orders, skepticism, naysaying
and various other difficulties... it's been a bumpy ride, and I've shed tears along the way.
(Real tears... I'll admit it!)
But... I've also been here for the triumphs, and they supercede all those trials in my mind.
I am glad to be part of this community; I don't know many of you, but... we all love the
KQ series... how bad can you guys be? (Don't answer that!)
Hi Colin, hi Nathan, hi Cray! *Waves*
Hi, I'm not strictly a newcomer (I registered waaaay back) but I hardly ever posted so I suppose it's only polite to introduce myself.
I'm Jamie, I'm 19 and I live in the UK. I've been a KQ fan ever since my parents bought the KQ complete box set (which, when they bought it, only contained KQ 1-6, which goes to show how long ago that was). Of course, they didn't get to play on the games very much because I was playing them most of the time ;D I've been a TSL fan for... about six years? Since before the Vivendi C&D, certainly, but beyond that I'm not sure.
Anyway, you all seem like a very friendly bunch of people so, um, hi!
Hi darthkiwi! ;D
Hi Jamie! Welcome to the forum family!
Hello Jamie! Great to have you around :D Come...sit...enjoy :D :D

Haha, it's just fun to throw Star Wars quotes at you 'cause I know you get them.
Hi Jamie and other assorted peeps that announced their arrival or their return (I'm much better at remembering numbers). I'd say to stop by at the Asylum any time but apparently, the movers decided to put the Asylum-thread NOT in the Asylum-forum.
PS: Yes, I know where they put it.
CC, make a new one! Nobody else is quite as capable as you are!
Not in my job description but I'll think about it.
Hi there!
I'm new in this forum. When a friend first time told about TSL, I was confused 'cause I thought he was talking about "Star Wars: The Sith Lords". Turns out TSL is related to the very first video game series I played. This was in 2005 when the first trailer came out. I've been following you guys since.
King's Quest and Sierra games had a great influence in my gaming experience that I carried over to CRPGs (I named some of PCs after Sierra characters) I look forward to meet you guys.

Hi Ravager. Welcome to the forums. I hope you enjoy your stay with us.
You're right, CC. We don't need an asylum... :)
Welcome Ravager
Welcome to all our newbies!! ;D (I wish I had a waving emoticon now)
Come and say hello, introduce yourselves and become part of the Forum Family! <3
I've posted a little, but never really introduced myself (at least, not this time - I'm sure I did 3 years ago when I first made the account, but those few posts aren't registering anyway, lol).
I grew up mostly on NES games, but after seeing my uncle playing KQV, I got interested in the series. I borrowed 6 from a friend and later 1-5, but KQVI was always far and away my favorite - my siblings and I would go around quoting it constantly. I always loved the Daventry family, and after hearing about TSL, I was instantly remembering what fun I had with them as a kid. I've been following the project for about 4 years now.
I've been going by Gwydion online for years and years, though Gwydo, Gwydi, and Gwyd are common nicknames - people always seemed to have trouble spelling it, so they liked to shorten it, lol.
So, yes, hello! ^_^
Hiya Gwydo, Gwydi, and Gwyd :suffer: Welcome to the forum!
I like your little "I like cats" sig.... I also like cats :suffer: :cat: :cat: :cat:
lets call him Bob instead! *nods*
I mean, ehm... hai! :)
lol That'd be one way to get around spelling it! Though I think you meant "her" (it's a boy's name, I know - 10 year old me didn't care :P). ^_~
Thanks for the welcome (and always good to meet a fellow cat lover)!
Well, I guess this is where I say

Hi...
I thought this project was dead a while back when I heard of the C&D. Then out of the blue someone on another forum links to here announcing it is released. Boy am I stoked! Played the first episode already and loved it. It's been so long since I played the old games. Now I want to go back and play them to refresh my memory.
Very good job on everything. Congratulations on making it to launch day.

I'm posting from another computer. Considering how
slow .NET is installing, I'll be in this forum for a while ;). Although, after TSL get installed... ;D
EDIT: Installed at long last! Darn .NET cause me good deal of trouble. It froze near the end and I had to reinstall without the anti-virus and firewall running. TSL installed without a hitch. It looks great!

Where is it? I can only find a locked topic. I want to start a petition for double candies since TSL episode 1 is out.
Should open a new floor since the last one is closed (I heard a rumor that mango-minions have taken it over and forced everyone out), if a new floor is opened I am sure CC will take up his role as manager again.
Hello, I've been following the TSL project for about as long as I can remember, which really isn't very far. I used to post way back in the day on Sierra's King's Quest boards. It's a fun little tickle to my brain to see some of those folks posting here... Erpy, copycat, Kimmie...plenty more I'm sure.
My first KQ was III and I grew up next to a house full of girls so everyday I'd go over and we'd play KQ on their far superior apple computers. After wards we'd put on plays about KQ and as I was the only boy I was always Alexander (or Gwydion as we used to call him) though I always secretly longed to be Dahlia *sigh*.
..Anyways everyone here seems really nice, hooray for King's Quest!

Looks can be decieving though! So beware. As a rule of thumb, everyone with their name with this color is actually quite evil!
Made me look!
I suppose I should more formally introduce myself. I've been watching the progress of the project for over five years and felt like burning teddy bears thanks to both Vivendi and Activision, but I haven't really been that active on the forums themselves in the past. I have a number of years of experience in technical support across a variety of Windows-based applications and lots of practice getting games in particular to run under odd scenarios, all the way back to the days when we used to have to make boot disks and play around with autoexec.bat and config.sys files to get things to run. My actual college degree is in accounting and I currently teach high school math, but have always loved games. I own a number of game systems all the way from a still-functional Atari to a PS3 and a Wii, but no matter how great the new games are nothing replaces that nostalgia from the old Sierra adventure games lineup.
I'm happy to be helping folks out and am excited to continue to see more of these great episodes coming out.
Welcome Wilco, already a silly adventurer! :)
Hiiiiiiiii Wilco, welcome to the Asylum! :P

Hello. I am thatgreekguy, I have been a fan of the king's quest games since I was a kid. My parents had Quest for the Crown on their old Apple and it was one of the first games I remember playing because it was so different from all the other games I had seen before. I love playing all types of games. I am a newcomer to this site because I didn't know that The Silver Lining was being made since i heard VIII was the last one officially made.
Welcome aboard thatgreekguy, happy to hear you've had a long history playing these games. As a fan-made game The Silver Lining has sort of stayed underground for a long time, but hopefully it'll really get out there now that the episodes are starting to become playable.

Hey, I work with kids! And they say you are who you hang with...so I guess my maturity level is, at best, a six-year old's.
I am getting married to a 6 year old, great...
Here isn Europe it isn't even legal!
Is it legal anywhere? :o
it isn't in the US? ::) ::)
Technically, in the US, it is. If the parents of the six-year old have given permission for the marriage, it's legal for a minor of any age to get married. Just a little bit sick, if you ask me!
Yep we have some screwy stuff in the laws around here. Just Google "weird laws" and be prepared for some head-scratching.
Haha, yea, I think I read a list about that once ;)
There's some really odd ones here, such as;
*A pregnant woman can legally relieve herself anywhere she wants, including in
a policeman's helmet...Who has ever tried this, and which Policeman said yes?
*It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament ...you can't help it if you die, what are they going to do, put your corpse in prison??
*It is an act of treason to place a postage stamp bearing the British monarch
upside-down...bit harsh I think, treason, really?
*In Liverpool, it is illegal for a woman to be topless except as a clerk in a
tropical fish store ...well I've never seen this in the City
It makes you want to try out the random exceptions listed in some of those laws and then pull out the book when you get arrested.

Probably on account of the crazy.

I mean...welcome!!! :D
Hi FFL! *Waving* This is a fun forum, you'll like it here.
Hello! My name is Michelle, and I've been peeking at this site every so often for the past couple of years, but never participated in the forums. I was devastated with I saw the most recent cease and desist order, and didn't come back to the site after that. Then a few days ago, on a whim, I thought I would check out the forums and see what was going on. What an amazing surprise! I downloaded Episode I right away! I'm so happy to return to the Green Isles--especially since we will get to see some of those places I always yearned to get into when I originally played King's Quest VI.
I was actually first introduced to King's Quest in elementary school, when VII was the current one in stores. It was probably the first game I got for my PC, aside from the ones it originally came with. The cover art really attracted me--I was totally into fantasy, Disney, and princesses. I remember begging my mom to buy it for me. It didn't really register with me that this was the seventh installment of a series, until I actually started playing it. (I guess I didn't pay attention to the roman numerals on the cover?) Boy, was I confused about who this "Edgar" character was supposed to be.
Anyway, I thought it was the greatest game in existence--until my best friend said to me one day, "Hey, I think a game called King's Quest came with my computer," and showed me King's Quest VI. Once again, I didn't know who these characters were, but that didn't stop me from loving them. After that I was totally obsessed. When the King's Quest Collection including I-VII came out, my mom bought it for me as a birthday present. Finally I could see the history behind these games!
Anyway, there's my huge long introduction that doesn't really tell anything about me--just my KQ experience. :) I guess I can insert a blurb that actually introduces me...
I'm a fourth-year art student in northern British Columbia. On my active days I enjoy cycling, swimming, and ballroom dancing. On my lazy days, reading and drawing. I used to be more of a gamer, but lately I just haven't found the time. King's Quest, though, will always be so special in my heart, and I can see myself replaying them over and over for years to come. Maybe it was my age when I first played them, but I've never felt my imagination so sparked by any other games. I look forward to reliving the experience with all of you.
Welcome Michelle and thank you for the introduction. It's always great to know how everyone got into King's Quest :)
Welcome Michelle
Welcome Michelle!!
Welcome to the forums, Michelle! :D
Welcome, Michelle!!
Hello Michelle! Glad you're here!
Welcome Michelle! And is that your art in your avatar there? Very nice!
Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! :D
Katie - Yep, it's mine. Thanks!
Welcome psionics,FFL,and Michelle. =)
I just noticed this thread, so I figured I should introduce myself since I am new.
So, yeah, what up! I'd peaked in at the forums in the past have been arbitrarily checking the site since the demo was released and since I was required to register to download episode 1, I figured I might as well do some posting as well. It's a good way to unwind after a crazy day at work. And believe me, I do have some really crazy days at work. Plus I used to hang out at a Star Trek forum back during my college and early grad school days, so posting brings back a bit of nostalgia.
So that's me. I'm looking forward to episode II!
Welcome Damar! It's great to have you around :)

Hey all, just finished playing the game. I liked it, but obviously I thought it was too short like everyone here, but I found out that the new episode is coming out soon so I'm excited for that.
I'm glad you liked it Leila. Welcome to the forum.
Welcome to the forums Leila, glad you liked the first episode!
Welcome Leila. =)
Hai and such!
Hello Leila! :D Hope you stick around and join us as we wait for the new episode :D
Welcome, Leila! Glad you're here. :)
Hi Leila! :D
I've been haunting these forums with no introduction for the past week. But then, I realized, I never ever said hi.
So, Hai.
I iz person and I haz cheesburger.
Seriously, though, my name IS Travis and I've been a huge adventure fan since my parents let me play LSL as a six year old (Don't judge them... I couldn't even type fast enough to get to the naughty bits--let alone inside the darn door of Lefty's. I swear, I spent twenty minutes typing 'Open Door' while Brutus kept wandering by and peeing on my leg... And of course, I constantly got hit by cars and beat up in back alleys by bullies because my judgement and motor-skills weren't so good).
I really got into adventure games when the parentals bought me QG4 for Christmas one year... And I become upsettingly obsessed. I got into KQ soon after that.
So, ya, that's me. I'm about to graduate college... I'm starting up a new adventure game archival site (not much there now, but there's A LOT going on behind the scenes), and, you know, just livin the good life!
Welcome to the forums, Travis.
Welcome Travis! :D
Hi Travis, glad you're here. :)
Travis, I checked out your website. Nice work! I see that it's a work in progress, but the skeleton looks great and I'm looking forward to seeing some more content.
Hey thanks! ;D
Yup, it is just a skeleton. But I had to put up for a number of reasons. There's a lot going on in the background... A LOT... coding wise and content wise. It's a long term project, for certain, and got lots of awesome plans. It should start to "explode" within the next month once I get more behind-the-scenes archival work done.
Thanks for checking it out. :)
Cool. You should start an AGA thread here when the site "[explodes]" so we can discuss it.
Travis, if you haz cheesburger you better be sharing.
I mean.... welcome!

Completely new and rather shy, so, er, hello. I've been hanging around a bit recently but only just got the courage to start posting because, really, this series is fantastic. It's a worthy continuation of a series I've loved since I was a child (and a series which taught me to spell, along with Police Quest).
I come bearing tea. Not quite a cheeseburger, but then there's nothing like a good cup of tea. ;D
Welcome to the forums, Tosaiko!
Thank you, and welcome to the forums Tosaiko!
Welcome, Tosaiko! There are a number of us who are shy, so you should fit right in.
I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying TSL - there's lots more good stuff coming! :D
Oh man, I love tea! Thanks, Tosaiko!
*Chug*Chug*
Welcome!
Then again, what food doesn't the King of Town love?
We know he loves gravy.
Welcome Tosaiko! :)
I bid you velcome.
Listen to them: The children of the night. What muzic they make! (the posters).
You get uber points of awesome for the Dracula Dead and Loving It reference.
However, you lose points for referring to me as a child of the night... even if it is 11:30 and I said like an hour ago that I was going to bed.

Hi all!
I've followed TSL since... I dunno... Its beginning? But when the first C&D happened, I cried and died inside, and continued on with my life.
Re-discovered TSL the summer of 09, and just remembered it again! Ep 1 & 2 were beautiful, cohesive with the overall KQ narrative, and stayed true to the KQ style of puzzles and story telling.
And that's all I guess?
Except, what's this I keep hearing about The Suffer?
Hi mythosopher! Glad you found us again! :D
It laughs at you. Because it knows the answers to all your questions, yet won't say a word: :suffer:
The team just loves to use it on us fans. :P

Hey myth! Welcome!
What an awesome introduction, to ask about the Suffer. !!! The Suffer is legendary around here. He even appears in Episode 2. :X
Anyway, glad you're here! It's always nice to add to the family. :)
Welcome to the forums! I feel so bad that I haven't popped in here to say hello to all the newbies.
No worries, Adrienne...Rich has been keeping you busy with work!

Aha, I thought I had seen something like that. Perhaps I should replay again to find it? Any beginning hints?
Welcome mythosopher! I like the screenname :)
Ah, good ol' Suffer! :suffer: He laughs because he knows something you do not.
Hmm...hints, let's see...well, first you'll need to have gotten past the IoW Gate to have what you need to find the Suffer. Good luck! :suffer:
And for another hint, think illogically.
Um- I'm new! I'm not new to TSL, cause I played it when the demo came out, but I kinda missed hearing that Episode 1 and 2 came out cause the Deviantart page wasn't updated ^^;
I'm a big fan of the old games, and I'm currently replaying them all. I do art and writing, and plan to draw some TSL fanart at some point soon <3 just waiting for some more plot to be exposed :3
I so far have two Kings Quest fanarts:-
Prince Alexander- a copic portrait (http://fav.me/d32te3q)
Prince Alexander and Rosella portrait (http://fav.me/d5360s)
Oh yeah- did I mention that I'm a total Alexander fangirl? :3
Welcome to the forums, Arkillian. You're art is beautiful. Can't wait to see your TSL pictures. :)
Thanks :) I have one that's mostly TSL in the works now :) It's still a sketch- I donno how it'll turn out just yet >.> Cause I dont' have much TSL specific plot to work with just yet it's a bit hard. I really love the outfits for the main characters in the game though, and I think it's interesting that they cut back Alexander's hair so I'll definitely be drawing some cause they look so lovely ^^ There's actual official art of those outfits too so hopefully less confusion for me XD
Welcome Arkillian! :D

Hmmmm, Tess, not sure. Maybe something such as "Proud Alexander Fangirl?"
Works for me! :D
Like... a banner the three of us can use? I'd tap that ;) I'm not too good with banners though. I could ask one of my friends on Court Records to make one. She makes alot of banners for forums. I could get her to use some TSL art ^^
Haids was probably thinking simple text like our Member/Leader of the "I <3 Doon" Fanclub one, but a banner would be even cooler! :D
I'll put the text for now and update to a banner if we get one :D I used to have an Alexander one, I don't remember exactly what it was though... *wanders off to find it*
(Posted on: November 15, 2010, 10:30:04 PM)
Found it, now I remember why I used for a very short time, it sucked. :P But I did find the Suffer Altar:
The Suffer demands sacrifices... ;P
Also found a Suffer voodoo doll pic, don't remember why I made that... must have been feeling particularly resentful towards the Suffer.
And now off-topic of the off-topic topic... must be having a sugar rush or something. ;P

Oh- really? What part of NZ? I'm in Auckland in the north Island :) Yes- I really love my country too. When I hear of other countries, their culture attracts me, but My heart is always here. I don't think I could live in a big country. Kiwis are down to earth types of people. I like that about here :)
Lol- yeah. As much as I LOVE a busy forum, I have a busy social program of various communities I belong to so I can't post 30 times a day normally either XD It was cool to have so much activity on my first day though! Alot of forums can be quite dead >.>

Ah- yeah, that sounds like a good 10+ day trip that :) It's too bad that you didn't go further south. The South island is really pretty :) I assume that you went to all the glaciers and stuff though. It was through my college, for a class called Diverse Environments. We actually spent more time on the south island then the north - have a pic of me standing at the southernmost point of NZ sign. :D Pretty much all I saw of Auckland though was the airport. :-\
Oh - and I got to zorbing, which just about killed my sister she was so jealous. We'd both wanted to do that forever, and to get to do it in Rotorua was just beyond awesome.

Oh- so you DID go right down to Invercargill! Excellent :D I haven't Zorbed yet, but it looks pretty excellent. If you want outdoor activities, South Island is better than Auckland. Auckland is about as city as NZ gets. There's a few things of note, but mostly it has what the south island has to a lesser degree. Sounds awesome XD

LE GREETINGS TO ALL.
I've been browsing the site for a long, long time, and decided it was finally time to actually take a proper peek around. A few things about me:
1. Despite my clever use of the word "le" (yes it's a word), I'm not French. Australian.
2. I have long since completed the first two episodes of TSL (without walkthrus, so go me I guess), and am eagerly awaiting part 3. BRING ON PART 3 ALREADY.
3. I firmly believe - and don't kill me for this - but I believe that Mask of Eternity's reputation is unfair. It was a damn fine game, in all honesty - it just should never have been released under the King's Quest label. Just sayin' is all.
4. YOU WILL BOW TO MY WHIM, PUNY UNSCALED MORTAL.

Hello all! Newbie here. :)
I've been a fan of King's Quest since I watched my dad playing it, and I inherited KQV, then the whole series from him. I discovered TSL a few weeks before the second C&D, and was heartbroken when I found out.
Then today I discovered that it's been released, from tvtropes.org, no less. I'm downloading now and can't wait! ;D
It's such a nice change, to be around people who know what King's Quest is. 8)
Welcome!
Welcome Ozaira! :D
My friend seems to be going through an emo patch right now- If kindofdoon can make us a Alexander Fanclub banner it'd be awesome :) Sorry about that T.T I thought she'd do it.
I'm on it. I won't be able to work on it until after Thanksgiving, so if you have any suggestions for how it should look or what size it should be, let me know.
Hi Ozaira! You're right--it's so nice to be around people who actually get Daventry jokes. ;) Glad you're here!
And Doon, as long as the banner isn't huge I don't mind. I can't speak for my fellow fangirls, but I give you full permission to go nuts. :)

Is there a site limitation? Most sites say 3 or 4 rows high worth of banner, and I usually say wide enough to not be cropped by an 800 x 600 screen (unless this site isn't optomised for that size screen in which case 1068 x 700 I think is the next size up? ^^; *doesn't know*
I'd like to see some TSL stuff on it, but I'm also happy with some of him in KQ6 :D I'm a fan of his forest green garb <3
Possibly something with these pics in (or others- take your pick. There's alot of nice shots of him in TSL :) )

Ah- King's Quest.... back in the days of CANON relationships ^^ I'm starting to get sick of ambiguous pairings on the net.
I was thinking of using this portrait of Alexander from the CD version of KQVI.
I like the new Alexander, but Robby Benson's Alexander is the authentic original Alexander. Perhaps I'll produce two versions, one with the KQVI Alexander and another with the TSL version.

Love the KQ6 art too, but the portrait is a little static which is why I like the TSL stuff for this. It's more interesting for a banner. It's up to you though- I'm happy with ANYTHING Alexander related <3
I'll make two, and you can choose. :)

Thanks, Doon! I personally don't mind, whatsoever you choose. Alexander is schmexy no matter what! ;)
Been a fan of TSL for awhile but new to posting on the forums. I'm a huge Kings Quest fan and adventure game fan in general. I also enjoy the Quest for Glory, Space Quest, and Monkey Island series. I'm also a huge fan of all things adult swim. Mostly the comedy shows, but also some anime here and there. When not playing adventure games or watching adult swim, I also dabble in some Halo and WoW here and there. Right now I'm in the midst of watching hercrabbiness' Kings Quest 6 playthrough to get myself excited for the release of episode 3.
Oh- did you see the KQ3 remake with the Guybrush cameo on the boat? IF you're a fan of Monkey Island (like I am too), you'd love that ^^
And welcome!

Thanks Tessspoon, I've always loved this image from Curse of Monkey Island. The video I watched was from someone named madmel1st, is that you?
Kindofdoon, I came up with corruptcarebear for my aim sn when I was about 16. I'm 26 now, so it goes to show how long this name has been floating around. I believe I was sitting around in study hall back 10 years ago and came up with the concept for this evil carebear stomping around the clouds shaking his fist at the other bears. When it came time to pick a sn everything else was taken and it fits my personality in a way. Haha I've been to lazy over the years to come up with anything else.

Thanks Tessspoon, I've always loved this image from Curse of Monkey Island. The video I watched was from someone named madmel1st, is that you?
Nah, I go by the same name everywhere. Guess there's more up there than I thought. :P
Ah, similar to my "kindofdoon", then. That's been around for about 6 years.

I was sitting around in study hall back 10 years ago and came up with the concept for this evil carebear stomping around the clouds shaking his fist at the other bears.
That's awesome! I have been in love with the Care Bears since I was tiny, so your username popped out at me. :D
Before I was Haids1987 (between the ages of 12 and 13 ;]), I was actually CareBeargrrl1987. But I've been Haids for so freaking long now it's ridiculous. If you Google Haids1987 you'll see many, many websites I'm registered on. :P

Ugh, you have no idea! I was so bummed out. I used to take the book to bed with me and read it like a bedtime story. It was sooooooo depressing to see it covered in black mold. :'(
That's so depressing...:'(
"crayauchtin" or "Cray Auchtin" is all over the net too... back in my The Sims Online days up through now!
Welcome newcomers!!
Hello All!
Um? Yah! It's me Shades! (Hops up and down waving at everyone.)
My it HAS been a long time. Over a year. Last time I checked on TSL the whole place was shut down but the forums. I"m glad to see TSL Resurrected and so many familiar faces. The ever lovely Koko (Love the new pic), Tess (AARRRGG!), and Kimmie, as well as the ever valiant Dark Daventry and Delling.
Hopefully I'll be around more to see more of you.
Shades! Hiiiii! :D ;D Welcome back!
Shades! It's great to have you back! What have you been up to?? And glad you love the new pic! :)
Hi Shades, welcome back!
SHADES!! :D Welcome back! :D
Hello Koko, Haids, and Delling.
Well right now I'm doing some video editing for the Harry Potter Archive project that I'm helping with.
http://preserv.22web.net/
I've been reading a lot of Dresden Files books. I'm now on book 10.
I'm also rereading some other books, Forgotten Realms The Finder Stone trilogy, to gather information for a story idea I'm outlining, thought I have no creative writing capability to write it. :-(
If anyone has any Harry Potter related stuff recorded that you can donate let me know.
Shades!!! :D :D I've missed you! :D
My Lady!
:D
(Bows Deeply)
So good to see you and in good health.
How's this?

I likes! :D
*leaves to put it in* :D
I think I just drooled a little bit! Thank you SO MUCH, Doon! Where did you find the font?!
(PS--I'm on my iPod now, I'll put it in my sig when I have access to the lappy. :))
The fonts are from KQVI (the capital letters are a different font than the lower-case letters). I extracted both from the game's resources, though I'm not sure where capital letters come up in-game.
Additionally, the border is from KQV's text dialogues, the picture of Alexander is from TSL, and the background is the opening screen from KQVI.
Hm, I just thought: I would really like to have a KQV/KQVI dialogue font for use on modern computers. For the banner and for my TSL Comedy Contest video, I manually copy/pasted and arranged the letters, but obviously that only works for a small amount of text. Having an actual font would be great. I'm going to make that when I get a chance.
Copycat! Welcome home!!! We've missed you around here! !!! Jeez, all the original posters are coming back! If only Rob would come back too... :'(
CC? Where? *is confused*
Wait a minute, my iPod did something weird! :-\ I was just on a thread where I saw Copycat...or was I on an old thread and just THOUGHT I saw CC... *is also confused*
(Posted on: December 05, 2010, 05:22:29 PM)
Okay, I searched and searched, and apparently what I did was somehow link myself to an old post by CC, but my iPod thought that I was opening a new page or something. Forgiveness please! I'm still trying to understand this very expensive piece of plastic. ;]
XD I still have problems using the internet on mine too, since I've had almost no practice.
LOL, good, I'm glad I'm not the only one. ;)
Hi, I'm Amy. I loved KQ 5-7 when I was little, and am SO EXCITED about the game! I've played through Episode One and so far it's pretty great. It brings back a lot of memories.
Welcome Amy! :D
Welcome Amy! :D
Glad you're here, Amy. :)

*Now* he's back XD (if only for one post... :()
LOL, right. ;) I was almost correct.
Hi! I'm Valentina (Vale) from Italy.
I'm 18 and a (of course) big fan of the King's Quest series since I first played KQ-7 (as a child, of course) then I got KQ-8, then KQ-1, and so on...
I'm going to play through TSL Episode 1 now and I'm quite excited ;D
Welcome, Vale/Rhea! So glad you're here! Enjoy Episode 1. :)
Welcome Vale! :D
Hey folks--I don't want to close this down of course (though I may unsticky it, if it is in fact stickied), but I'm posting to let you know a new Welcome to Newcomers thread is going to be started in the Welcome Wagon forum that's been created. So head on over there to do more welcoming and such!
