I've been waiting since 1998 for a new King's Quest, and to my devastation, Roberta Williams announced that she was done with creating anymore KQ. I thought to myself, "This is it? That was the end of the series?" A few years later I was surfing the web with hopes that she would change her mind, I was looking for an article, any article, that would say there would be a release for a KQ 9, and came across this little site about a "Silver Lining" and have been excitedly waiting ever since.
After all these years, and my name on 2 petitions later, I am going to finally be able to play in Daventry once more...explore with the royal family....learn from my mistakes from a witty narrator...and put a proper conclusion to a game series that I've held so fondly in my memories and compare every other PC game I play to.
July 10th, I'll be online and DL'ing the first installment.

I have followed and played King's Quest since the very first game came out on Pc and PcJr.
We have done the impossible ... and that makes us mighty. (quoting Joss but as I was volunteering at a Serenity event today ... It seemed appropriate)
I am so very proud of POS and their team. Along with the fans of KQIX aka The Silver Lining and the very dedicated fans out there ... you leave me almost wordless. (but not quite)

I must also congratulate everyone involved in the project over the many years its been in development. You guys have persevered through so much! You were forced to cancel TWICE and yet as it's already been said the Phoenix rose from the ashes!
And kudos to all of my fellow fans, we helped prove that the love of King's Quest will never fade.

I'd just like to put my oar in as well: I've been following this game from a distance for a long time, was devastated at both C&Ds, and was overjoyed when they were rescinded. This game has been a long time coming - ha, don't we know it! - and, of course, that means a lot of late-night-and-free-time work from the devs, and I'm just over the moon that it's finally, finally coming to completion.
I, uh, just hope the download servers don't get overloaded from all the attention on July the 10th...

I already comment few month ago that it seem we were playing actuall game in real world with all those battles that took place to find out wer actually won again!
Of couse, POS be sure to be ready for the next battle (if any) just in someone else decides puchase IP!
