It seems like I would know this... but..... about how long is the first chapter of TSL?
I think I remembered hearing it was comparable to KQ6 in length..... but then I thought that might be all 3 chapters.....
so I have no idea.
anyway, yeah.... about how long is it compared to another KQ game?
I think all the chapters together make it the size of KQ6. Each chapter is a portion of the larger game. Did you follow? It was a long night.

Episode 1 is indeed a shorter episode than the rest, but it's a great episode and it sets the stage for what's to come. I played through episode 2 last week and it's about 3 to 5 hours long, depending on the player. The rest of the episodes also fall in the same category of 3 to 5 hours long. All together, it should be a 12 -15 hours experience, or more, depending on how you play it. I'd say the size is a bit longer than King's Quest 6 altogether.
One big difference between King's Quest 6 and The Silver Lining, however, is that The Silver Lining has about 1 hour of cutscenes spread through the 5 episodes, between the fully rendered and the in-game cutscenes. So, expect a very balanced cinematic experience.
Thank you, Nifty. That is what I was looking for. You hit it right on the head.

right.... so there are 5 chapters and they will all be released some time this year right?
ok. sounds good.
I'm excited for it either way! too bad I won't get to play it until a few days after it comes out....

You're welcome. :)
I actually had to go trough my old posts to find it. It's one handy quote.

I don't think there's any guarantee that they will *all* be released this year. I don't think there's a definite schedule for the other episodes - just in the near future.
I believe Cesar said in a previous post that they're hoping for about 3 months between each...BUT do not quote me on that...
Cesar said 1-3 months. My guess is that episode 2 is probably closer to being finished than the rest and might be released after only 1 or 2, but for the most part, a 3 month wait is a logical time to expect.
Much better than 8 years certainly :)
Absolutely. XD
8 years wait between episodes just to make us :suffer: :suffer: :suffer: :suffer: :suffer:, ;D.
