Is The Silver Lining exclusively being released for Windows?

As far as we know, yes. This game is being developed to run under windows. However, there are plenty of ways to emulate Windows depending on the operating system you're running. :)

Aw, thanks. ^^

I figure if I'm hanging around the forums anyway, I might as well try to help out with whatever I can. XD

Aren't you going to school to be a game designer in the fall?  You're full of interesting tidbits!

Yeah, I'm going to RIT to major in game design. It should be fantastic. :D

I know I already said it (before the move, though, so it doesn't count! :P), but major congrats! That's incredible.  You'll be great at it.  You seem like you know your shiz.

I believe in interviews it was stated that they're keeping the option open for porting it to another system such as the Mac in the future. Whether they have plans or not, I do not know. But this coming release day (July 10, right?), it will only be available for Windows.

I wish I majored, minored, or even focused in game design. I just have a bachelors in Computer Science. :P

Yeah, that's definitely a fantastic area to have a degree in. If nothing else, it's certainly more flexible than a degree in game design. :P

Well, maybe you could join POS once it becomes a full-fledged company... and, well, get your degree and all.

Well, considering Phoenix was a huge influence in me wanting to work on my own games, it'd certainly be something I'd be interested in, if they're hiring at the time. :P

Thanks! Sorry for sounding like an ingrate, lol. I just really wish I knew more about game design. Haha. I'm stumbling through it trial and error at the moment. :) I suppose I could always read a book. :X

Good luck in your degree, Rosella!

There is a program for certain kinds of mac computers that will allow you to emulate Windows.  It is called a virtual machine and is equivalent to running a computer on your computer with the exception that the "computer" you are running is software.  I think you need a powerful machine to run it as I believe it takes up a significant amount of resources.  I ran it on my sister's computer and it froze up but that may have been because it lacked the "juice" to run it.

For Mac users (myself included), Boot Camp is the way to go for graphically demanding applications, such as TSL. Emulating Windows on a Mac can be messy, and suffers from performance drops.
