If there was ever a KQ movie made, who would you want for each character?
I'm not sure about the other characters, but here are my three picks for King Graham and Prince Alex:
Harrison Ford (KQ5/6 era Graham/1990-1994 era Ford)
Tom Selleck
Tommy Lee Jones (the character drawing in the KQ6 hint book looks like him)
Alexander:
(Young) Richard Gere
(Young) Kevin Kline (around the age he was in Sophie's Choice)
Shia LeBeouf
King Edward:
(with age makeup) Sam Neil
Patrick Stewart
Hmm, an interesting question. But I'm not movie-savvy enough to really know who would be good, much less who I have to choose from.
I think Amy Adams from "Enchanted" should play Princess Rosella. She's got plenty of experience playing a princess!
Or Brooke Nevin.
Oh, and Michael Gambon as King Edward (since I can't have Richard Harris. :().
Though I enjoy Shia LaBeouf, I shudder at the idea of him as Alexander! Gah!
Harrison Ford as Graham would be great...well, maybe ten years ago, at least. He's a bit old for it now. But he is the person whom we based the image of Graham on in our game. :) Ah, perhaps Henry Ian Cusick, aka Desmond from Lost?
Amy Adams as Rosella, perfect!
I wouldn't mind seeing Julian Morris (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0606690/) as Alexander. Right look and I've seen him in a few things, I think he could make it work. :) (Plus, cute guy + British accent = even cuter!)
If not him, then Jensen Ackles with dyed hair. He could DEFINITELY rock Alexander's tortured soul thing.
Valanice, hmm....Julianne Moore could be a great Valanice. Maybe with a little age makeup.

Hahahaha! I guess Alex DOES have kind of a "tortured soul thing" going on. Never thought much about it, but you're right.
And that's thrilling that you based Graham off of Harrison Ford! I've been in love with the man since I was two. Seriously, I'd put in the Star Wars tape pretty much just so I could see Han Solo. I think that's how I became a Star Wars fan. ;]
I'm gonna add a vote for Jensen Ackles as Alexander. I don't even care if he dyes his hair to the right color, he's just so perty! :P
And such an awesome actor, too :) (LOVE Supernatural!)

Would he search for the fugitive treasures in the first game himself, or get a team to do it for him?
"Alright, listen up people. Our fugitive treasures are somewhere in the land of Daventry. That gives us a radius of six screens. What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every castle, residence, cave, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area."

:iluvu:
Definitely not Shia LeBeouf. He should have stopped after Holes, imho.
I haven't seen him in anything after Holes (which I loved for some reason :P) but I can't imagine taking him seriously as an actor. Of course, that's probably WHY he's taking all of these serious roles, but...the hair. :P
Dane Cook for Alex! or maybe too old *ponders*
Kiera can be his wife *nods*
Just had the thought that Heath Ledger might be a good Alexander. Then I remembered. :(
Peter Facinelli would make a good Alexander, if he were a few years younger (like during the time he was in Can't Hardly Wait.) He's got that strong look about him, plus he's dark and handsome.
Sean Connery would be a good King Edward, I think. And of course, Harrison Ford would be the best King Graham ever.
I can't think of anyone good for Cassima, though. :( Everyone I think of is too young or too blonde.

Megan Fox?
Sorry, someone had to say it. ;)

I heard the are doing amazing things with dying hair and such 8)
I'd rather see Keira Knightly as Cassima.
Or Angelina. Hahahaha. :P
See, I don't think Kiera is dark enough. I'm not just talking about hair, I'm talking about skin. And Angelina...just...no! :o
I've never seen a Megan Fox movie before, but she's dark. Hmmm. Cassima is my favorite KQ character, so whoever were to play her would have to be perfect!
Quote from: Haids1987 on July 08, 2010, 04:33:54 PMI've never seen a Megan Fox movie before, but she's dark.
Yup. Dark hair, dark skin, and pretty. She's only been in a few major roles (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1083271/).
Dane Cook :-X I'm not a fan, personally.
Kiera Knightley...ehhh. Megan Fox...ehhh. She doesn't strike me as the right type. She's has major roles but they haven't exactly been serious ones.
Not that I've got any ideas, naturally. :P We did base Cassima's general appearance, facially, on Jennifer Connelly though.
The reason Megan Fox has only been in a few leading roles is because she's honestly not terribly talented, she mostly gets by on looking super pretty. That's my opinion anyways.
Right, and that's not the kind of person we want to play the strong, confident princess that Cassima is. :P
The who that Cassima is? Confident, sure, but did you say strong?
Captured twice. All I need to say.
Got angry, got even, got the guy.
'Nuff said. ;D
What about Anna Popplewell, who played Susan in The Chronicles of Narnia, for Cassima?
Ooh, not bad! Maybe a bit young?
I was about to suggest Glee's Lea Michele. (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0584951/)
Don't know about Lea Michele, having not seen Glee, but Anna Popplewell is a nice choice!

Yeah, I was wondering about Anna's age...but just checked and she's 22. It might just work :P
Having seen Glee, and being a self-proclaimed Gleek, I must say that Lea Michele is a good actress... though, I'd have to think for a while if she'd be good for Cassima.
Wow, she's 22? I had no idea.
I know! She does look younger. But it's amazing what they can do with make-up. I don't know if anyone's seen the leaked pictures of the end of the last Harry Potter movie...all I can say is that it's amazing!

I'm not sure about good for playing Cassima, but I'd love to hear her sing Cassima's part in Girl In The Tower. XD
Popplewell's in Harry Potter? Huh, did not know that.

lol, sorry for the confusion. No, she's not. But there are leaked photos of the end of Harry Potter, showing what an amazing job that the makeup artists can do, based on how old they want people to look.
I love love love love Lea Michele, but I think that would only work if Cassima had some AMAZING musical numbers.
Otherwise, Anna Popplewell has my vote!!

Whaaa? she is just a scared backstabbing wench! *runs for cover*
Graham...Harrison Ford (old king graham)
Valanice...Julie Andrews <3
Rosella...Scarlett Johansson
Alexander...Orlando Bloom (because I love him)
Cassima...Eva Longoria
;D oh the scenarios playing out in my head
Ooooh, Julie Andrews would be a good Valanice, but she's actually way older than Harrison Ford! That would just look creepy. Someone mentioned Julianne Moore to play Valanice, but with makeup and such, and I like that one.

They're only seven years apart. That's not really that bad.
Cate Blanchett could be a Valanice! maybe make her look a little bit older but not needed.

Yeah, she's been in quite a lot. Still looks pretty darn good though, especially for 75.

I somehow missed this post:
No, she didn't!
She slaved away for the first guy until someone else came and rescued her. You know what he rescued her with? All stuff that was on the island except for Crispin's wand. You're telling me she could have solved that another way? Like, I dunno, sneaking into the library and learning how to fry someone and then using Mordack's wand in his sleep? She was there for how long? Seriously.
Then, she goes home and is kidnapped by the vizier and held hostage by guards who are loyal to
her. You're telling me that there's nothing she could do til Alexander got there and gave her a knife? And then there's nothing she could do til Alexander was sword-fighting with the guy? She had a knife!
She didn't get angry, she got lazy. She didn't get even, she got cowardly. She didn't get the guy, Daventry got the guy. Both times!
I rest my case.
Twenty bucks says she gets kidnapped for a portion of TSL too. She's like the Dawn of King's Quest. "Cassima's in trouble!" "It must be Tuesday."
Anyways, I love the idea of Julie Andrews playing Valanice. But then she'd have to sing too. So then we'd absolutely be making a musical and in that case it simply must be Lea Michele plays Cassima! (Sorry Kimmie, Eva Longoria would never work anyways. :-\ )
LOL, well now I'm picturing Michelle Trachtenberg playing Cassima! LOL
