You know, it just occurred to me that Cedric wasn't invited to Rosella's wedding. It would be trivially easy for Shamir the Genie to teleport the bird to the Green Isles. You'd think that with helping* Graham save Rosella and the rest of the family that he would have a really close bond** with them and would often fly over to Daventry to visit***
The royal family must have been so disappointed he didn't come. But they hid their emotions well and didn't seem to miss him.
*By "helping", we obviously mean sitting around "thinking deep thoughts", abandoning Graham whenever he goes somewhere remotely dangerous (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F64wDQJLWMQ&feature=related), getting captured, warning Graham that he's going to die when it's too late, and pointing out brutally obvious poiiii-sonous snakes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F64wDQJLWMQ&feature=related).
**By "close bond" we mean "annoying relationship testing Graham's patience and sanity.
***By visiting, we are referring to the time he came to Daventry's court (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMDbLtx4Rr8&feature=related).
Cedric's dead. That snake finally got its revenge.
Yaaaaaaay! :snake:
Honestly, I think it's a slap in the face to Cedric. Cedric deserves better. It can be argued that, without Cedric's help in introducing Graham to Crispin, Graham might never have rescued his family in KQ5.
A pooiiiisounous snake! :snake: Hee, still lovin' that!
They were going to invite him, but Sing Sing insisted on being the only fully avian attendee. She's such a drama queen. ::)
I played the early non-talkie version of KQV, so I never heard the annoying voice of Cedric.
Perhaps it's for this reason that I actually don't hate him that much.
LOL@ "don't hate him that much.
Actually I believe Cedric was invited. His response was, "Ooooh, I don't know about those Green Isles! Most people avoid 'em 'cause there are riptides! I'll wait for you here!"
Cedric was invited, but for some reason his invitation told him to go to the most dangerous and isolated part of the Green Isles as opposed to the Isle of the Crown. Just an oversight, I'm sure.

As my dad pointed out, POIIIIIISONOUS riptides. :P
I hate to be a party crasher but I don't think that riptides cause all that many problems for owls. Maybe they would for Cedric, he is a bit batty. 8)
Well, he would have to arrive by boat, and if the arrival was anything like it was in KQVI, then I assume it would be rough. And we know Cedric isn't immune to boat crashing damage from KQV.
Ah, good point.
And it's not just boat crashing damage. It's POOOOIIIISONOUS boat crashing damage!
Actually I remember Cedric saying "Oooooh I had a nasty run in with a dog once at that castle, I'll wait here"
Those guard dogs probably don't like Cedric :(
Oh, right, good point there, lol.
I don't think Crispin was at the wedding either?

His Arthritis must have started up again. All those years of casting spells with a broken wand must be catching up with him.
