Hahahah, wow what a pleasant description of Brrr's future. ;-D
Its my view of the grown up world. What can I say, I have parents!
It's only back-backing if you don't get a desk job or a truck/bus/car driving job. Otherwise it's butt-breaking. ;)
And congrats, B'rrr! Time to go out and lobby that degree into 6 figure salaries. ;)
Peace & Luv, Liz
hahahaha... you guys have a 'nice' picture of my future ...whaaa backbreaking!! ; ) ....I have no intention of growing up.... yet. So I just want to explore the world for a bit (ohh wait someone else did that already ; )
hahahaha.... I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do next... I did got some Job-offers but they are not appealing enough (I don't care about 6 figures I just want to stay me ; )
...and all those Jobs are in the Netherlands, hahaha and that is a place I'd like to leave ; )
omg yah, hes saying that cuz I plan to kidnap him but he is trying to make it easier for me (how thoughtful) so hes willing to be kidnapped, how cute :D hahaha ;-D
Congratulations B'rrr!

Thanks for all the congratz!! I really appreciate it!! ; )
*dances again* (hahaha you didn't thought I would dance whole night, did you?)
Say you can kidnap me any time ;] <3 ...but if it is voluntary, is it still called kidnapping?? ; )
And I want to leave the Netherlands because I hate the weather ; ) and I think most people around here are just like the weather, cold and grey ; (
...but most of all because I have spend all my live in this small country and I haven't seen anything of the world... yet... ; ) ...I have no reason to stay in the Netherlands other then my friends.
EDIT: hahaha.... and I agree that Flemish is nicer then Dutch ; )
*starts doing the confused happeh dance ;B

well rob u got my quick congrats this monring but i left in a flash, so i can say more now....
wooooooooooooooooo go rob, go rob!!! ;D WELL DONE![/
i hate being 15 cos i still have two years left of school :'(, then i have TAFE and/or University :'( :'(
what is TAFE??
...ughgh, my teachers are encouraging me to continue my study :'(
Cheaper than University but courses are not as good, the courses are not as advanced ;)
*sigh* universities are far overrated, ...advanced courses?? ...lol, I think it is pwetty basic, if you would only learn what is in the courses you wouldn't know anything when you leave the uni (imho) ; )
well i have to go to uni to get a degree in 3D modelling otherwise i will never be in the game industry :-\, although i could go into Web and then i would only have to go to TAFE ;D
But unfortunately i dont know what to do :'(
at least you have a year to figure that out right?? ...but you are now 15, can you go to the uni at your 16th?? :o
i can go to TAFE when im 16 ;D, but for full courses you have to have finished high school ;)

Yep, didn't need any university to be where I am now. Besides, here, universities are mostly theoretic, whereas college is more practical.
Quote from: racx_00_virus on May 14, 2004, 04:20:24 AMi can go to TAFE when im 16 ;D, but for full courses you have to have finished high school ;)
Is TAFE an abbrevation of something? Overhere you can't do anything else than high school when you're 16, AFAIK.
If you do TAFE at 16 its either because you can no longer get what you need from school or because you want to do more advanced courses to enhance your learning ;D

Hmmm, I only knew I graduated a few weeks after my defence. How do you know so soon?
well.. I dont know when will rob appear around here to reply :P but in my case i found out like 15 mins after I did the defense cuz the jury deliberate for a period of 15 to 20 mins, then they tell you approved or not, from there I have to wait to give in thesis and such to know the approved grade, on my case it was mention of honor so its kind of obvious :P thats how I knew right away (on my case), plus I had my whole semester approved so whats left? nothing! I graduated! :D
I believe in Rob's case is sort of like the same, talking with him I realized we're in a very similar situation, with the fact he had a real project and I had somer of an internship a semeter previously than thesis' semester, but anyhow, the thing is that you get to know after you get an appreciation on the matter :P
Say is kinda right. I found out like 10 mins after the end of my defence.
if everything else is completed (like all exams and stuff), which was in my case, it would mean that if you pass the defence you got all your points and are unofficially graduated, a commision will take place but that would be a formality, after that is is official.
yeah, that's how it happens on my end too, techincally there are other minor details of course that may vary, but that's pretty much it.
OMG WE ARE GRADUATED ROB OMG OMG OMG <3

Quote from: Jeysie on May 19, 2004, 03:32:49 PMI'm afraid of heights, so I am definitely not going tree dancing. :P
As long as my feet stand on a sturdy surface, I have no problem. However, I'm afraid tree-dancing would mean I have to move my feet a lot, and that would lead to standing on un-sturde surfaces, so I'll pass too. :S
Jeysie you are a dragon!! spread your wings and fly!! get off the ground!!, act weird!! dance in a tree!! ; )
*continues treedancing with Say* :lovegoggles:
Nope, sorry, I'm a wingless dragon or something. No flying. :P

Not even when you jump? ::)
Fine... if you want to get technical, I do leave the ground when I jump. However, it is only for a few seconds and a few inches, and thus does not trigger my acrophobia. :P
(mutters something under her breath that sounds vaguely like "pedantic pain in my butt")

hmm... well, just jump around a tree then, feel free to climb up if you want to ;-D

See? That's a start. So, just jump on some of the lower branches, and you can jump right off if you like, so you can build on that experience, and stay bit longer on that branch the next time. 8)

Just tyring to get my point across, ma'am. :lovegoggles:
Perhaps I should be pedantic and refine my own point. ;)
It's not heights per se that bother me, you see... it's the prospect of the sudden stop at the bottom should any potential means of being held aloft fail. :P

Similar. The signing of the Confederation of Canada occured on July 1st, 1867. So, in fact, July 1st is Canada's birthday as its own official country.
So, to a certain degree, there is some independence. Like moving out, but still part of the family. :D

that far North? I have no idea how long the drive will take, and I'm notorious for getting lost when driving somewhere. Also, July 1st is on a Thursday, a working day. I'm going to have to check schedules, and do some route-calculations online before I can make/take a decision.
