XD I think you can claim the record of the first person to ask about 3's release date. Here's the answer: :suffer:

Weldon, I'd be a bit more vague than that... Just to make people :suffer: more!
Oh that's plenty vague, it's what we've said all along about each episode. But we haven't hit the full 3 month range for episode 2, so technically we could go another 4 before releasing 3.
As I recall, it was "1-3 months" BETWEEN each episode release, not an average of 1-3 months between all releases.

Good point! I didn't do the math on that... Math is a subject I DON'T excel at...
Does it really need that much work? o.o
1-3 months worth of work? Yep.
I thought that the main issue with Episode 2 was tweaking the game with all the user-requested issues, not the actual episode itself..
I figurre episode 3 needs more work now, then episode 2 needed when episode 1 came out.

You'd be surprised just how much work went into ep 2. It wasn't all the requested features. There was a LOT of clean-up work to do, but it's all paid off I'd say.
That was part of it yes, but there is still a lot of finalizing work to do on animations for other scenes, characters, puzzles, etc. in Episode 3 too. All of the episodes are mostly done, at this point we're just making final edits to make the puzzles better, fix up scenes, expand the gameplay, stuff like that. Still takes a while with a team of volunteers.

Yeah. ep 2 was pretty good in it's early incarnations, but again, it needed a lot of cleanup work. I'd say, based on what I've played, that eps 4 and 5 need the most work of all.
Most important point of Weldon's post? "Team of volunteers"! Were we full-time working on this, getting paid, etc, Episode 3 could probably be done in a month, tops. But that's not the case, which is one of the reasons finalizing takes a while.
Now go poke around Episode 2 some more and no more of Ep 3 talk until at least tomorrow! :P
