Tomorrow night, October 1st at 6 PM EST, Richard Flores and Petter Holmberg, our lead programmer, will be interviewed on Torque Talk Live! As you may know or have noticed, TSL uses the Torque engine, and the people at Torque Talk Live are going to be asking about our choice to use the engine and our experience with it, as well as some more general questions about TSL.
You can tune in LIVE at this address: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/torque-talk-live
And the interview/episode will later be available for download here: http://torquetalklive.libsyn.com/TTL
We hope some of you can tune in and check out the interview!
are we gonna be able to call in?
Why did you switch to Tourque in the first place? Crystal space is opensource.......
but I am an opensource freak.
They didn't mention call-ins, but the listen-in-live website looks to have a chat room, so I would imagine you can type in questions.
I know at one point we worked with Crystal Space, but not being a programmer, I couldn't say why we didn't use it later. Tune in and I'm sure that's something Rich & Petter will talk about, though!
Cool, I'll be listening.
Spiffy! I'm off tommorrow by some stroke of luck!
w00t!
I'm really interested in this one even though I'm not in it, or around when it's going on live! But a more specific interview aimed at the engine is something new for us, so I think it's really cool. Actually, Petter has been somewhat active on their forums, and made two very informative blog posts about TSL for our Episode 1 & 2 releases!
Episode 1 (http://www.torquepowered.com/community/blogs/view/19951)
Episode 2 (http://www.torquepowered.com/community/blogs/view/20297)
Just reminding folks that this interview happens tonight! :)
What will they be discussing besides TSL?
Our experience with Torque certainly, I'm not sure what else though! Tune in and find out :)
Rich and Petter are now on!!! Tune in!
Here's an mp3 of the interview portion. For some reason, I lost audio entirely for about 15 seconds in the middle of the interview. That may be the fault of my skittish internet or the broadcast (they did mention having some "technical issues"). Either way, the rest of the interview is very informative.
