"California Gurls" by Katy Perry. Gaaaaaaaaaah! Every time I hear that darn song it gets stuck in my head.
EDIT: Ironically, posting that caused me to get "Hot N' Cold" stuck in my head. :P
I have "Only Girl in the World" stuck in my head......
Also, the jingle from the "piscern.com" radio commercials (which none of you have probably heard....)
Thank god they haven't started playing "I've got a hippopotamus for christmas" yet. That one gets me every time.

I think Mr. Roboto qualifies... Just got that stuck in my head. How bout "Major Tom" by Shiny Toy Gun, the one in that car commercial.

Oh, you know, I remember seeing that commercial last year and being intrigued by the song, but forgot to look into it and never found out who it was or the name. Even found out about Shiny Toy Gun a couple months ago when I was looking through my boyfriend's music collection but didn't connect the two until now. :P

If that gets stuck in your head, try this Gaga spoof. This one will get stuck in my head hours at a time. They've also spoofed other popular songs, including the Eminem and Rhianna one mentioned earlier. And Ke$ha. And Bieber. And Katie Perry. Unfortunately they are hit or miss in the funny department. Ah yes, the rickroll. Of course that song never really got stuck in my head. Now if you want a song from the 80's that gets stuck in your head, I humbly submit this one. It kind of reminds me of this video that went viral a while back. It's so cheesy and you just groan, but they clearly mean well. Of course these guys are trying a bit too hard, but still they meant well. They just wanted to sing about God. And dance. And do they ever dance.

And here's another song that gets stuck in your head. It's from the show 30 Rock, which if you haven't seen it, you should. It's hilarious. One of the characters (Tracy Morgan's character, who is basically Tracy Morgan himself. He's not all there mentally, I don't think) did a song that they played for all of ten seconds on the show. But they actually recorded the entire song, so here it is. The chorus alone gets stuck in your head. I give you, Werewolf Bar Mitzvah!

Not especially catchy, but very nostalgic and awesome:

I'm going to have to show this to my dad; that's his favorite Star Trek movie.
I actually got to see Seth Green and a bunch of others at a panel for Robot Chicken at ComiCon, and he specifically mentioned the opera and how the guy who sang the part was an actual opera singer. Apparently they got him to do his thing then as they were wrapping up he mentioned that he was flying back to Italy. Seth apparently said something like, "Oh, like on vacation or something?" And the guy said, "Um no. For my job. I have a performance. I sing opera."
It was funnier when Seth told it.
Ha, they hired an opera singer without even knowing it? Wow, nice.

Can Patrick Stewart possibly gain any more of my respect? No, he can't.
Oh yeah, the TNG guys were crazy. I remember reading that during first season, they would goof around so much that they actually had a director say that he would never work with them again. When you look at Season One of TNG, which had some of the worst writing and episodes in all of Star Trek, and realize that for someone, the worst experience of that season was working with people like Patrick Stewart, LeVar Burton, Johnathan Frakes, Bret Spiner, and so on, well that just tells you how crazy they must have been.

So one of my friends who plays music just learned this song on the guitar and was playing it after church today. It always gets stuck in my head because it's a lovely song and the way he sings and plays it is beautiful, much more so than any other version I've heard (and I've listened to five or six different artists sing it). Below is the best version I've heard so far, besides his.
Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen (sung by Alexandra Burke and an unknown girl in a coffee shop) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd1OSCQAW_w)
Imo, you can't beat Cohen's original (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrLk4vdY28Q).

Ah you youngens with yer Backstreet Boys and N'Syncs and whatnot. Why, in my day, we had the Right Stuff! By which I mean New Kids on the Block. And they were not right at all. They were horrible. Of course when they were popular I was still in first grade and the girls liked them. And since girls had cooties still, I was not a fan.
Though, do you know who was also popular in the first grade? This guy:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAJ0dIImKBU
I don't know what you're talking about. Those two are nothing the same! Nothing!
In all honesty, it's incredible he could deny with a straight face. Like I said, he was a living, breathing punchline. There's actually a moment in the video where his gangly silhouette is dancing in a pastel color and you realize that this guy was the inspiration for Coach Z from Homestarrunner. And he took himself so seriously, too! And of course he's wearing a University of Miami sweatshirt, and that's just ridiculous. I mean, you talk about jokes! The 2002 season, the only joke there was on the football field! GO BUCKEYES!
Sorry, got carried away.
Lol. I never knew he denied the sampling. Wow.
I saw Vanilla Ice on Saturday Night Live (I think) back in the day. He was such a joke.
I know. And it's made worse by how seriously he took himself. He just kept pushing, acting like he had street cred. He couldn't just sit back and accept that his time had past. Last I heard he was trying to do metal. And he was taking that just as seriously. As tough as it is to not be taken seriously, there comes a point where you just have to throw your hands up and accept that what you did is dated and no longer being taken how you intended it, but on some level still gives some enjoyment to people. But he just can't do that. It's kind of sad, actually.

Beethoven's 5th keeps popping into my head. I played the first violin part in an orchestra a few years ago many, many times which means I can listen to pretty much the whole of the first movement in my head. :s It's a very strange experience...

I know! I can list off songs that have gotten stuck in my head: right after I got to Galway the following songs were playing everywhere including frequently in my head!!:
-Taio Cruz's Dynamite
-Katy Perry's Teenage Dream & Firework
-Eminem ft. Rihanna Love The Way You Lie
-Lady Gaga... everywhere! forever! everything!
It's not that I necessarily think these songs are terrible or sins against nature or even basic-grade evil or whatever, but they are ANNOYINGLY aggressive when it comes to parasitically infesting one's brain. Though some of them do offer a good excuse to get up and practice Capoeira/TKD. :P
I associate trips with the songs that were popular and playing everywhere when I was there. :P They're always love songs whenever I'm in a relationship that's currently having some sort of crisis and make me wish I did Capoeira/TKD. ::)

True dat! Their album was on sale, but had some legal issues. I'm waiting for the rerelease. Then, I'll buy it from their site. WWW.RockSugarBand.com is their site, IIRC.
Their lead singer does some amazing imitations. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4bUlgYdzCk
There are, I think, 12 songs of theirs on YouTube, under the name Rock Sugar.
This has been stuck in my head just by virtue of how awesome it is. Warning: you might want to put on a helmet so that you don't make a mess when this BLOWS YOUR MIND!

Well, that was actually more tolerable than Friday and seemed to sound less auto-tuned (though I'm not good at picking up subtle auto-tuning).
This last weekend I finally watched Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog. It was just plain awesome. But now it's in my head. It's in my head so hard, particularly these two songs:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vdm5x0BqM80
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU1i1gNaYqg&feature=related
Freeze ray. Tell your friends.
This song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXej3mzYndw) has been stuck in my head since last night, when I heard it in my sister's car. When I turned on the radio this morning when I went to get coffee, what do you think was playing? The original version! Aw, well. At least I like the song!
Last Friday Night (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlyXNRrsk4A&ob=av3e) by Katy Perry... and Firework (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGJuMBdaqIw&ob=av2e)... they must be on in the background in some shop or something and my mind must not notice until later at which point it just latches onto them and doesn't let go... BAD BRAIN, NO, PUT IT DOWN!
No, OUT! My head! MINE! Who let you in? *wraps arms around his own head which is somehow simultaneously being grasped like a child's teddy bear and performing its usual functions from its usual location*
Katy my lady. :P I won box seats to her concert off the radio last month. It was actually quite a good show, despite her ridiculously irritating, over-the-topishness. Plus hey, free concert!
I'm too lazy to try and link it via my iPod, but I've had "Viva la Vida" by ColdPlay stuck in my head ever since I tried going to sleep too many hours ago. Incredible song!
There is some song which I can't identify which the pub around the corner from my apartment plays over their speakers every morning (along with other cheesy pop)... GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD! :'( [I'll be no help in identifying it... it's a woman's voice (I think it's Katy Perry)... the problem is that I can't hear it very well when it's on the higher airy bits between the refrain which is somewhat lower... the rhythm of that repetition of "light and airy" and "heavier and deeper" is stuck in my head and is reinforced each morning :-\ )] The fact that I know enough Lady Gaga to doubt that it is Lady Gaga is discomforting for me... XD I didn't really think about it before, but it's scary how invasive modern culture/music is!

Viva la Vida :D It's one of my "this is why I want to play the violin" songs!
Year, 1986, a group calling themselves Beastie Boys release "Fight For Your Right" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBShN8qT4lk), a parody song that had it's meaning lost to folks. And who can blame them, especially after seeing the music video about the cool dudes with the attitude.
So, 25 years later... And they made a short film called "Fight For Your Right (Revisited)" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evA-R9OS-Vo). Basically a 30 minute long middle finger to their younger selves starting right after where the "Fight For Your Right"-video ended with plenty of handsome Hollywood actors.
Kill Bill Vol. 2 was just on tv the other day and since catching one of the final scenes, this song has been in my head.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUs0O81n9-A
And whenever I think of Kill Bill, this song also gets stuck in my head. Here it is in all its disco glory.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8NVQ0iao0g
Part of me really likes this song until I listen to the lyrics and realize it is, word for word, the exact sentiment used by every wife and girlfriend beater I've ever met. That kind of kills the song for a second. Until I realize how catchy it is. Then I just ignore the abuser vibes.

Just Dance 3 came out the other day...
Lady Gaga has pretty much been stuck in my head ever since.
...wait... ...her songs have sequels... oh, I feel ill. XD MY HEAD IS NOT SAFE!!
So my mother bought banana cake for me the other day. I was appreciative but a certain song came into my head, a song which I'm pretty sure I learned about in this thread actually.
That's right.
Ring ring.
Banana.
Phone.

You can thank Pitbull and Chris Brown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiozrgpPdTk) for this song, which reminds me that I can love all of you all over the wordl! :P
I like Pitbull. He's like a real life Muppet -- huge mouth, and dances mostly by moving his arms. :P (No, I honestly do like Pitbull and for some reason his Muppet-ness is strangely very cute. :P)
He's got a weird voice--kind of a scratchy old man voice--but I like him too. I haven't heard a Pitbull song I don't like yet.:)
Whenever I see Pitbull, the only think I can see is the fact that he sings and raps out of only one side of his mouth. Once you recognize that, you wonder why you never saw it before and it literally becomes the only thing you ever see whenever you watch Pitbull.
And is Chris Brown really singing about international love? I guess that makes sense that he'd try to go international as any woman in this country would know that Chris Brown is an unapologetic, immature, physically abusive [expletive deleted].
The reference to the one-side-of-the-mouth singing reminded me of Jessica Frech (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc2v_GFgNnM), who happens to match this thread quite well. ;)

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKOJfrljowk) is definitely one of my favorite songs from the movie, and it's been stuck in head all the liveling day.
