I hope this isn't the case. The most recent post from KatieHal with any info was from 2020, which said that they were still focusing on projects that allow them to stay open and pay their staff. I completely understand this, but I also wonder if they could move it into a paid venture to bring it back into active development.

She first introduced the society in King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow. The society is a group of evil wizards who are trying to take over the world. They are led by Mordack, Alexander's uncle.
The Black Cloak Society was originally going to be used in future King's Quest games. However, the series was put on hiatus after King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride. The society was mentioned in the AGi remakes of the first three King's Quest games, but it did not appear in any new games until King's Quest: The Silver Lining.
In The Silver Lining, the Black Cloak Society is once again trying to take over the world. This time, they are led by a new member, Shamir. Alexander must stop society and save the world.
It is unclear if the Black Cloak Society will appear in future King's Quest games. However, the society is a popular part of the series and it would be great to see them return.

Action figures: There are a few different action figures of Gabriel Knight available online. These are usually pretty expensive, but they're a great way to show your love of the series.

If they're not going to release it, I wish they'd just release the script or get outside help. But it seems like they're not open to doing anything to get this released.
