I've just check in here for the first time in ages. Look likes this game will never be finish. That sad after all the good work that have been done on all 4 episodes. I think they should have stick to the same engine for the fifth episode. I hope that the serie will be re-made, re-booted or continued with microsoft aquisition. Also with Roberta back in the gaming industries, there is hope that she can be involved. At least I will have some new gaming adventure with the Monkey island!

Okay, I finally played with the Commentary on, and that was fun in parts. Now, as to what was said at the end...haha, any updates? Has the game sold well? I bought it at full price on Steam when it was coming out, and then again on GoG recently for 85% off or something.

I hope the game did well, it is one of the better adventure games I've played over the last few years.

To be fair this is a $0 fan game
We're lucky the 1st 4 were made at all
Given the ambition of episode 5 going full 3d, something I don't believe they've done on any commercial game they made since. I do wish they kept with the same engine and kept all the same assets. I thought it was gorgeous and more than adequate to tell the story. I think the decision to move that way, the 3d motion capture and all that jazz, was an effort to use this as a playground to perfect techniques they could use in their other actually sold commercial offerings.
It's entirely possible they've received a cease and desist and an NDA hence us not knowing anything. If that is the case I would guess the lawyers would want this taken off the site (it's still there with the last update from 2019 before the pandemic hit. That too could explain extra slowness in this project's development.

I personally very much loved this series and really want to know how it ends, would even settle for a mock up script just to know what happens. I, like Robertta Williams herself, very much love the writing and story so far!
