Episode 1 on ipad -- sound has stopped working

I am playing through Ep 1 on the ipad, and I played through the prologue.  When I got to the first crime scene, the sound stopped working.  Is there anything that you can recommend?  I checked the audio settings in the options menus, and they are all turned up.

Try manually closing the app and restarting it, or rebooting the iPad, see if that helps. If not, the app may need a reinstall.

iOS has quirks with sound at times. Verify that it's working in other apps, like the Music app. Make sure that it isn't being redirected to somewhere else, like Bluetooth headphones, for example.

Then, if all else fails, power off the device and power it on again, as wilco suggests. That should solve the problem. I doubt that you'll need a reinstall, but anything's possible, I suppose.

I have verified that the sound is working for the rest of the ipad, and I tried powering it on and off.  I guess I'll go for a reinstall.
