When I first read the title of this thread, I thought you were referring to Lionhead's Fable series. I've never played the 1996 adventure game that has no connection, but I've seen some videos from it. I've actually wanted to play it, but I know it wasn't considered very good.

It seriously was probably one of the absolute worst adventure games I've ever played.  Just a royal mess from beginning to end.  And talk about being able to pick up all kinds of items that never had any use at any point in the entire game.  Blech.

I don't know what it is, but the worse a game sounds, the more I'm wanting to try it out to see just how bad it really is... Sometimes they can be hilarious when they weren't intended to be...

Toegoff did an LP of it. I started to watch it but the game itself was so annoying/weird/nonsensical/odd that I lost interest in continuing to watch it.

I played it. I kind of hated it. Very boring, ridiculous puzzles, bad voice acting, the characters were horrible (an omniscient, clairvoyant snake who can't be defeated because of this can't see a spear from a few feet away? )

Oh man yeah the voice acting was just even MORE horrendous.  Really this game is bad enough that maybe it actually is worth playing through once just to experience really poor execution.  I also seem to recall that at the time it was first released the system specs were funky in some way that even though I had a pretty new computer I still couldn't run it.

I think the game was basically made by trolls. It's so horribly bad that it's good.

I will say this for Fable - it was BIG.  If I remember correctly, it seems like it had an absolute ton of different scenes.
