I can confirm ati broadway 1002-68a0 (with a slightly new vbios) and driver 8.712 works with TSL1.

can you provide a screenshot of of the gpu caps viewer opengl page?
GPU Caps Viewer is a tools to view OpenGL capabilities.

i'd like to know:
OpenGL Version (expect 3.2.9704 Compatability Profile or similar)
OpenGL Extensions (expect 181 or similar)

I actually tried updating my drivers... fingers crossed, but it is now crashing my machine again.  I'm in talks with ASUS right now.  If I end up reverting, I'll let you know...
