It's called wrooms...They have both wings and brooms...however, the wings tire out and the brooms are strong enough, so they have to use both.

hmmm i suppose yeh. well for an ancient civilisation all of their buildings were pretty amazing.
i loved the way they made temple pillars and inscribed them!

I have a friend who's fascinated about old Egyption culture as well. He's been there several times and has managed to enter places nobody else has seen. The stories he can tell...

I am more into modern Empire building myself but I too would quite like to hear some of those interesting stories from Egypt!

Unfortunately, my memory is not as good as it used to be (not that it was much use before, but it's gotten worse as time passes) so I cannot tell those stories. What I can remember is there are burial chambers in rock caves, with cooridors leading to them , som of which could not have been made without crossing another and yet, they manage to miss them. Also, apparently, there's something hidden at the base of a sphinx (IIRC), but the Egyption authorities are letting nobody dig for it.

Why does akenaten fascinate you the most, Kimmie?

coz he did things differently. *heratic pharaoh* and all that.
first known guy to bring in monotheistic ideas, uprooted a whole capital and moved it to his new capital at amarna.
stautues represent deformity. he never attended religious festivals as a young child and isnt depicted on family statues and yet is later used by his mother to become pharoah. changes his name to reflect the aten instead of his fathers name.
married the beautiful nefertiti, he allowed artists to show his true form and every day life which hadnt been done before.
there are many mysteries tied to him and his family and his body has never really been found...

he just seems far more interesting.

and this is why i am chosing to do my project on him, so i better go read some stuff now...
