Well, a band of crazy posters did manage to hose the SQ Subspace Channel forum once with an insane posting spree, but that was on a CGI-based YaBB forum with flat files... meaning in a basic sense that a "static" HTML file got rebuilt every time someone posted, and posts got stored in the HTML files themselves. (At least, I think that's how it worked.) I've heard PHP and database-driven files are supposed to be more robust. We might slow the server, but knock it offline? I don't think we have enough regulars for that.

Still, I suppose you're right, we should behave ourselves. (sigh)

Actually, it's faster today than it was yesterday.  About half the time, I can see the button before I click on "Add Reply" although I am getting rather good at knowing where some of the smileys and buttons are without seeing them.

The lock I'm trying to unlock isn't locking anything in particular.  Joe forgot the combination and I'm trying to help figure it out by the process of elimination.
If I don't find the combination after 10,000 tries...well, pooh on it.

As for the door to my brain?  Welded shut.  No combination for that.  No possible access.  Unless you have a battering ram.  I think beer might be that battering ram.

As for the door to my heart, it's wide open.  Lotsa love coming from this fatso.    It's just a big ol' maze to get to the deepest parts of my heart, that's all.  One day the right lady will come along, break down the walls of my maze and go straight to the core.
