Let's just say that if it takes loans for me to be able to get through grad school AND get to London, it's a possibility I'm going to seriously look into!  Now to convince the rest of my family that I don't want gifts...just money to contribute to Catherine's London Fund!

Seriously, I boot up once, it kicks out an error that the BIOS clock is wrong, and sends me to the setup program to fix it. Then I give it the default settings, and it seems happy and lets me reboot. Until the next time I power cycle, that is.

The BIOS clock is probably wrong b/c its battery is dead. As long as it's got power from the computer when it's on, there's no problem, but when the power goes off, the time's gone.

ugh! ...graduate school cost a lot ; \ ...at least here it does ; ( ...luckily i was able to do it without a loan (with a little/lot help from my parents)

Grad school in Flanders costs a lot to (did and still does , my brother's now doing it), but our parents take care of that.

I loaned money from my parents to buy my first car (0% intrest(?sp)-rate BTW), but that debt's already paid back in full. My next debt will probably be one for a house. 'Cos even if you have enough money to buy/build a house (which I don't anyway) it's still cheaper to loan (b/c of the tax reduction).

Yeah, buying houses is expensive.  Much cheaper to do back home in Halifax.

I'm just trying to win that lottery.  I think I could handle winning $30 million.   I'd pay for everyone to go on a nice vacation to Cancun or the Dominican Republic.

I'm not dreaming about it either, and it's quite expensive here too. However, several of my friends are getting their own houses now, so I can't help but think about it.
