Quote from: J-ROC on July 24, 2004, 12:57:30 AMI just watched the movie Memento again!

What a wicked movie!

I've got the special edition, so one of these days I'm going to have to watch it from beginning to end, but in the natural time line! :D

I snagged a VHS copy of that at a secondhand store, but I haven't gotten to watch it yet. :-[

J-ROC

Oh my sweet sassy molassy!

WATCH IT!

WATCH IT!

WATCH IT!

Such a good film and such a unique concept and way of editing a film.

<3 <3 <3

I don't care what you have to do!  Just take the 2 hours to watch it!  You can thank me for wetting my pants over this later. :D

Last week I saw I, Robot and Farenheit 9/11.

I, Robot was a bit better than I expected and Farenheit 9/11 was a bit worse than I expected. 8)

J-ROC

Well, 9/11 was exactly what I expected...but I wasn't really watching it entirely for it's entertainment purposes.

And I still want to see I, Ribbit.

Yeah I saw I, Robot too and it was good. Very well done SFX and well thought through story. The script was ok and the acting generally good. So overall a good movie.
I also saw The Bourne Supremacy. WOW! THAT was a good movie! See it is all I have to say.

J-ROC

Well, I liked the Bourne Identity, so I have every intention on seeing the Bourne Supremacy!

Two movies I have to watch now, darn it! :D

What does everyone think of Alien versus Predator? I'd be expecting a good movie, if it wasn't for Predator2.

J-ROC

Meh.  There are other movies I'd rather see.

Just watched Eurotrip.  Pretty good for  a couple of larfs.  Gonna watch Starsky and Hutch veyr soon.

I'm probably not going to see it.  Just not the type of movie that I'm interested in seeing.  But I can't wait for Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement! :D

My thoughts on that film can be summed up in one slang word:  EW! :D

I love chick flicks! :P

Movies that blow things up, sometimes I can handle them...as long as there's a plot.  HAS to have a plot...I.Robot, Oceans Eleven, etc, etc.  But scary movies...NO WAY!

Hmm. I agree, it's fun stuff get blowed up real good, but only when it get blowed up real good for an interesting plot reason.

As for scary movies... I like psychological horror movies, stuff that plays with your head, not necessarily needing a lot of gore or whatnot. Hack 'n' Slash stuff usually does nothing for me.

Yonkey

Yeah same here.  I like movies with a plot, and especially ones with plot twists that you never see coming!  <3

Sometimes I see the occasional stupid teen comedy movie, but mostly it's when we want to watch a movie and there's absolutely nothing else worth watching.  :P

Jeysie

Hee. The stupid teen comedy thing reminds me... I used to love watching USA Network's Up All Night, which basically was devoted to showing B-movies late at night, the sort of movies which involve things like lame rubber monster suits, fake blood, and scantily-clad women. It was a kick in a Mystery Science Theater 3000 sort of way.

Psychological horror movies are great!

The ones that rely on startling you or gore suck rotten grapes.

I like Alfred Hitchcock, he made some great movies/series/books(not too sure about the last one).

If you like us like these psyche movies, then these movies are musts: *The Usual Suspects...King of the unexpected twists(in my book, since it was the first movie that REALLY caught me off guard)
*Dead Calm(with Sam Neil and Nicole Kidman at sea)
*Signs(M. Night Shyamalan's 3rd movie)
*Out of time(Denzel Washington, always good)
*Fallen(another D. Washington-must-see)

More to come...

Yah, Harrison made me finally watch The Usual Suspects a while back. Great movie... it helps that Kevin Spacey kicks butt. ;D

I still remember Harrison being kinda surprised to find out that the fellow who directed the X-Men movies is the same one who directed Usual Suspects.

Haven't seen the others, though.
