Thanks LN...I was trying to work on a project when I posted last, so I didn't have the time to search and spend time looking.  Appreciate it :D

:o Space vehicles...you work in a company that's doing business with NASA/ESA/[other space agency] then? :P

Sorry everyone for breaking topic, just had to answer this!

CC, Whilst I would like to say I did work for a company involved either NASA/ESA, I don't! I do have contacts within that industry though (one of which was deeply involved with the failed Beagle probe to Mars; he designed the actual "moles" that were meant to dig under the surface for soil samples.) The reason I say I work on space vehicle designs is that I study RBCC-PDWE propulsion systems, automated "fuzzy logic" control systems, advanced power systems (using combined radioactive decay, solar and possibly vortex implosion based systems) life support, ceramic heat shielding etc...
Combined with my knowledge of aerospace I design "aircraft-spacecraft hybrids" as the ballistic theories are far simpler and the Logistics are far cheaper.
Hope that clears it up!

Right, back to flying squirrels!  ;)
When cities burn and armies turn,
and flee in disarray,
Cowards will cry 'tis best to fly
and fight another day.
But warriors know it in their marrow when they die and fall,
It is better to have fought and lost than not have fought at all.

Quote from: Louisiana Night on November 01, 2004, 10:48:37 AMI thought the question was, if it was a real squirrel, or just had the name(well, at least I've heard people call it that). ;P
Judging by the tail, it certainly looks like a squirrel.

This seems to be the one that's in our neck of the woods (Europe).  ;D

Hmm, haven't seen that one in the U.K (probably hails from your part of Europe CC), all we have over here (well, South East England) is grey squirrels, and lots of them!

I don't see them around here either.  The only squirrels I see are the kind that don't "fly".  :P

Well, it's on the mainland of Europe, that's right, but it's not near where I live either.

No, the flying squirrel doesn't fly, in the literal sense of the word, he just floats. And AFAIK every squirrel floats for short times once in a while, jumping from branch to branch, navigating with their peculiar tail. 8)
