Jeysie, I'm beginning to think that! lol.  Last night was hilarious, since Mom still didn't know what happened during the men's gymnastics, and she'd need on the computer.  We wouldn't let her get online on her own, since there was a big picture of Paul Hamm's accomplishment!  Either my sister or I would get on and go to the website she wanted before Mom was allowed to get back on the computer :P

Hee! Well, I know with Opera it's easy to toggle whether your browser opens to a homepage or a blank window... I would think FireFox would be the same? ;)

Hehe yeah!  The winning streak USA is having in Softball is the same one Canada is having in Baseball! XD

Did you see that the Aussies beat Japan in baseball! OMG  :o

Japan was tagged as the Baseball 'dreamteam'... sucha surprise when the aussies won!

I see canada's still doing wel on the medal tally.

Though, Aussies only got 1 gold last night.  :'(

And USA is equal in the gold stuff with China! WTF? I can't believe China let someone catch up. lol

Yonkey

USA got a bunch of medals in swimming today. XD  Congrats!  ;D

Canada is up against Japan tomorrow I think, then China.

And the Aussies beat Canada in softball today 1-0. :'(  But it was definitely a good game to watch!  ;D

Sweet! I didn't catch that softball match!

Jeysie

Niiiiice stuff from the lady gymnasts. I'm happier to see gymnasts get medals just from having solid performances. The balance beam was still crazy, though. I've never seen that many gymnasts' butts hit the mat in one competition before! :P

I almost don't dislike Khorkina now. Almost. Still pretty disappointed she couldn't pull that stuff out for the team finals.

And Harrison says he wants to form an Anna Pavlova fanclub.

I didn't get to finish watching, but what I saw was great!

I still think it's cool that USA's 800m freestyle men and women win gold, men's and women's team gymnastics wins silver, and then the men's and women's overall gymnastics win gold.

Yeah, I saw the end of it!  ;D  It was pretty exciting to watch, and there's nothing wrong with Silver either!  ;D

Right now I'm watching the trampoline event.  Weeeeeeeeeee!  :D *bounces* Hahahha!

It looks like the most fun out of all the sports. XD

NBC is airing the Trampoline in Prime Time here! ;D I'm pretty happy with that. With my work schedule, I tend to miss most of the "non-big ticket" items because they air during the day. :(

Yonkey

I have no idea if these are live, I don't believe they are.  But here too (on CBC) they replay highlights of what happened during the day at prime time.  ;D

Yeah. During Prime Time here they usually air just the popular stuff, like Artistic Gymnastics, Diving, Beach Volleyball, team sport medal games, Swimming, any Track and Field events with popular athletes competing, that sort of thing. They then air any "big moments" from events aired earlier in the day.

Well, popular from the US perspective, that is. What sports do you folks' countries consider to be "must-watch"?

Peace & Luv, Liz

Yonkey

In Prime Time here, they usually just show events that had Canadians in them, or really popular events (i.e. swimming finals).

Also, I should correct myself, the trampoline events are live right now.  And the Toronto girl is up right now so I'll be back later! XD

Good luck!

And I hope your fellow does well in the men's vault finals. I think I heard that Canada's never gotten an artistic gymnastics Olympic medal, so that would be very cool if he does. ;D

Ooh, wait, he's qualified for Floor, too. This could be interesting. !!!

Peace & Luv, Liz

Yonkey

!!! !!! !!!

Ok, I don't want to spoil it for you Jeysie, but Canada just got a medal!!

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! XD

Whenever olympics comes around BBC 1 turns into BBC megaolympicschannel and we have live coverage and replays for about 12 hours a day :D

Britian now has two gold medals, one for Sailing and one for speed cycling (no idea if its called this or not) 1 KM. Big shame about Judo though, we had some good contenders but sadly we're totally out of it now.

*goes back to watch Japan in the pool :D*
