Umm... Im no expert, but dont you need to phrase that in question form? If I went up to someone and said "Marry" they probably would whack me upside the head.  ;)

Depends on who you ask...or tell XD

ROTFL!!!  XD Mirror Kirby pwns! Vacuum cleaner indeed (good heavens what an accurate description)!

Never played any FF because I can't stand PS. **hugs her Nintendo** But what a great discussion, Kirby vs. Squall. heh heh heh...  :suffer:

Back to the poll, though... I can't remember any of those annoying me that much (course I can't really remember the hasty wedding since I last played KQ2 a decade ago... working on 1 and 2 again now, though). Anyway, now that I've thought about it, some of them do kinda bug me, heh. Let's see:

1) Yeah, that's sad that he only lived with his family for a little while. How is he going to know how to rule a kingdom well if he wasn't raised seeing how it's done? Well, I guess he may be a natural? And he finally gets a family, he should get to know them all as well as possible. How long WAS he in Daventry, anyway?

2) This one doesn't bug me. After all, fraternal twins can look very dissimilar.

3) Well. At least she didn't inherit her mother's desperatio-- I mean, er, decisiveness?? Nah, she should take her time. Just cuz you're a princess doesn't mean you're only useful in marriage, eh? She can afford to be choosy. ;) Although the song in the beginning of KQ7 was a bit cliched in a Disney-like way,

4) Yes, from what I remember, definitely unusual. Maybe being cooped up in a tower makes you clingy?  ??? But honestly, Graham's just lucky she wasn't a witch in disguise... If I were a witch, that's probably how I'd trick a guy into marrying me, cackle cackle...

5) KQ1 had the Daventry-related problems... and 8 to an extent (but that was more the whole world's problem). I guess evil-doers don't wanna mess with bold adventuresome royal families... except in every single KQ. Nevermind. Maybe Daventry's just boring.

6) This was my answer before you pointed out the flaws. :P Thanks a lot!

Good poll, though. :)

Now that you reminded me of it, that's exactly what happened to King Edward. Good thing Graham was luckier... (or was he? Hmmmmm.)

...I have nothing to say to you. Rinoa is my heroine.

(next to Elaine from Monkey Island, of course.)

... Come to think of it, maybe ill change my avatar to Guybrush.  ;D

Keep your avatar...:(  I'll miss it if it's gone...

And I thought you were telling me that Rosella was your heroine...hmmm...

LOL, I was wondering when someone on the Mod Squad would put an end to the... whatever it was.  ;D S'pose we should move ourselves over to the Off-Topic forum next time?

Back on the subject: annoying things in KQ. I know it's been mentioned and ridiculed before, but Rosella's unnatural prancing in KQ7.  :drunk:

And this :flirt: looks smug, not... ironic/sarcastic. :P

Ok...

"Alexander moving out after only being there for a few years."
Well, it's not like he planned it. He probably expected Cassima to return to Daventry with him, but had to stay and rule the Green Isles because there was no one else to do it.

"The birth of the royal twins who look nothing alike..."
I'd go with amarinda's 'fraternal twins' explanation. As for Rosella having blonde hair while neither her father nor her mother do - there must some recessive gene there. I have a cousin like that.

"Rosella's continued putting-off of finding and settling on a husband."
No bother at all. I mean, if you start calling a 21 years old girl a spinster, I'd hate to think what that makes me :o

"Valanice and Graham's shotgun--I mean, hasty wedding."
Hello!! it's a FAIRYTALE!! Red Riding Hood and all the other fairytale creatures roaming around there must have clued you in on that fact at some point :p
Frankly, I'd be bothered if he hadn't married right away - in no self-rescpecting, non-disney, classical fairytale, does the hero of the day and the rescued damsel go out for coffee and get to know each other as people before tying the knot.

"The surprising lack of problems and threats in Daventry itself."
Ok, have we been playing the same games here? Daventry has been the scene for major disasters in KQ1, KQ3 and MOE (also KQ4 & 5... but the problems there were more people-related than scenery-related). I'd say Daventry is pretty accident-prone as lands go (not to mention the royal family itself... I wouldn't even start there).
Besides, lack of troubles in Daventry wouldn't bother me one bit... better to explore other lands as well ;)

"Nothing! It's all good to me!"
I couldn't say that either... Everybody knows which 'addition' to KQ I disliked the most - the last one :P

Heh, that's very true. Of course fairy tales were mostly written during the time when people were marrying more for convenience and practicality, and of course ambition, than for romance or love or whatever. In any case, with all the freaky things going on they should have at least made sure the other was... the person they said they were. :P And the title WAS *Romancing* the Throne. And I dunno, I'm a sucker for romance...  ;D

Deloria

Well, yes they probably wouldn't go out for coffee, but for pity's sake in the  KQ2+ remake from Tierra (AGDI) Valenice and Grahama get married on the same day that they meet, only a few hours later. Honestly, I think she might have been pregnant, not that she would know after one day.
