Ok guys! ( And Gals! ), I've taken a lot of photos of my new apartment, and made 2 180º panaramic shots!

The first is of my apartment lounge room, it's all a bit of a mess, and my fiance's computer ( Left ) and mine ( right ) are wirelessly networked... to share our blazing fast cable.

The second, well, we're on the top floor ( 10th ) of the apartments, and this is the gorgeous view...
Canberra, as far as cities go.... has more park-land and greenery than almost any other city in the world, so that's why you don't get a jungle of cement when you look out the window!

Actually a friend of mine and I were discussing it.  I had my Unemployment Beard, and now I've got my Job Hunting Goatee.  Hopefully soon I'll go to a Working Clean Shave!

Hey, you're working your way down...or is that up??  Either way, less facial hair=better opportunity for a job??  And thanks...I don't think I'd look good with a goatee either!

No, the less facial hair isn't indicative of my chances. per se.  It's indicative as to which stage of of Unemployment/Employment I'm in.  But less facial hair would be indicative of a better status.  "Less is more," as they say.

And I just realized....if I'm ever down to just a moustache, then I'm probably working....but as a porn star.

some places are sooo delicate about the personal care though most than "just hair" , I remember my former real boss, he used to be the MOST annoying about that, not with me (I was the only female around though), but usually with the guys, but not about those things mostly about smoking, drinking and "other" stuff around lol, for example he didn't care if they had a beard unless they trim it, or if they had long hair unless they kept it clean and DECENT (or tied up), what used to piss him off the most was (oddly) clothing... he HATED when ppl showed around in jeans and all casual like, he was extremely strict about that lol, he stablished a code and everything eventually I guess it all depends on the company/boss/work enviroment.

Well, it was more so just a joke, but because I'm an engineer, I have to maintain a someone professional image.  (Even if you guys know just how unprofessional I can be. )
But people can look professional with facial hair as long as it's neatly kept. (I don't think my beard or goatee has been too scuzzy. )
The primary reason I haven't really grown a beard or goatee before (other than when I'm not working) is because of the condions I worked in.  With the military, I had to be prepared for chemical warfare at all times.  And gas masks don't seal against facial hair.
With working in the oilfield, we were regularly exposed to sour gas (H2S or Hydrogen Sulfide) which can kill you instantly at 700-1000 parts per million (0.1%).  So, again, needed the seal with the SABA/SCBA mask.

Anyway, reason I grew the beard after losing my job was 1) because I could, and 2) because I've been told I look good with a beard.
I dropped down to goatee status because I felt like a change.

As for looking professional with clothes, I have the collared shirts, but I only have jeans for pants...so I'm halfway there.  My jeans are clean and all, but still.  Guess I have to go buy casual dress pants/khakis.

The main reason I don't grow a moustache/goatee is because I don't have a beard & moustache trimmer.

This is the first time I've had a beard trimmer.  When I grew my first goatee when I was doing lab work in Montreal, my goatee grew about two inches below my chin.

You can get a good one for $40 with nice add ons.

A relatively cheap one with not much for add ons for about $25... possibly less.
