I, too, am thinking KQ6...but my memory must be bad, b/c it looks a little different from the shore that I'm sure that represents.  oh well...I guess it can't be identical :P

Well since I have no where else to post this since the other thread was locked(???), the web team is either being extremely cruel, or extremely cruel before surprising us with an amazing update.

lol, you're good at this Yonkey. :P Anyway, it's been a while since I played KQ6, is this supposed to be the Isle of the Mists? That's the only thing I can think of.

Awesome pic!! :D
The tusks seem a bit too close together on the face-forward pic... but otherwise they all look great 8)

The beast was originally cursed by Manannan during his "wild youth" but became human through Alexander. However, because Alexander will have gone mad in KQ IX he will resurrect Manannan from being a cat and he will return to the Isle of the Beast and curse the man again!

There's a slight problem with your theory - KQ6 clearly states the original curser was a witch :S

* Storm wonders how wild were Manannan's "wild youth" :o

Oh well, it was a good try!

As for Manannan's "wild youth," well I can safely say that his youth was pretty wild in my KQ IX!
As for these peoples version of events? I couldn't tell you what in the name of Mike is going to happen!

Nice AOTW, a little "geometric" for my tastes!  ;)

Oh well, it was a good try!

I've had a couple of speculations about that myself (lame, I know... use Suffer as necessary):

1. Once the curse is broken, the prince can turn back into a beast at will.

2. Beauty was kidnapped/left the prince, which caused him to revert to beast form.

3. Basically Shadowfax's idea - the original curser/someone else equally evil decided to curse him again.

4. A dark mega-curse has taken over the land, triggering the beast's curse back into action.

5. And my favorite for being the least stupid - in KQ9, you get to travel back in time (or see a flashback) where the beast while still under the curse.

Shoot in all directions and you're bound to hit something, that's my motto :P

I second that opinion!

Lurrrvely AOTW!

I always wanted KQ6 to do more with Isle of the Mists so I can't wait to explore it in KQ9!

Holy s***!! That's all I have to say.

Now a question: Will the floor be shiny in the final, or is that basically finished? Cus it looks like the floor should be shiny :)

Regardless that's great.

It's still a major work in progress.  If it were final, it would be posted in the Screenshot section.  :P The pic is still missing lighting, shadows, etc. but a job well done nonetheless!
