Thanks!  I feel really special now!  The funny thing, the heroic one is my normal speaking voice!  At least, if it's not, it's really, REALLY close.  I think I may have derived from it just a tiny bit!  And, yes, I am that articulate in real life, and yes, I am southern!  Thanks again!

Hee! Tony Jay did Saladin and the Gate in KQ6... but he's done a lot of bad guy voices... Megabyte in Reboot, The Transcendent One in Planescape: Fallout, Shere Khan in TaleSpin... and Virgil in Mighty Max. OK, that was a good guy voice. Still, he rocks. But we could use some young blood for bad guy roles of the future...

Say, come on...I know you think you sound horrible, but that's what everyone thinks about their own voices.  As someone mentioned earlier, it's all because of the resonance going on in the holes in your head (NOT being mean, b/c everyone has holes in their head--all the sinus cavities in the skull--learned that in my Anatomy class).  If you want, as you've told us, do you regular speaking voice, don't try to do different voices.  It's harder to do than just record your regular voice (no duh  ).  

You can do it, Say!!
