Kewl!  I'll look into it.  I'm not in co-op, and all the jobs I've had were completely unrelated to software eng, so I pretty much have 0 years experience!    How come you delayed in getting yours?

I haven't registered at all yet for two reasons:  I've never had a mentor that's a P.Eng, and I also haven't done any real "engineering" with my previous job.  To me, it's an ethical dilemma....but I probably could have gotten my EIT status if I actually applied.  So, it will likely catch up with me and bite me in the ass

i don't remember but i think doctor, meester (law) and architect are the only protected titles around here.

In my line of expertise the protected titles are 'bookkeeper', 'accountant' and 'revisor'. No way can I (officially) title myself as a 'bookkeeper'. That's why it's between brackets in my official title, I'm an expert (bookkeeper). The ones Rob mentioned are probably protected too, don't know about anyone being able to use the title 'engineer' around here.

I'd gladly help!  I love working on homes...well, the color picking and decorating parts of it!   But I do enjoy the painting and rearranging of stuff too.
