I don't mean to be rude, but how can you be Jewish and an athiest at the same time? Or do you mean of the Jewish race, not religion?

AFAIK, Judaism is a religion, not a race... and I am of Jewish nationality, ie. belong to the Jewish nation & culture. My religious beliefs (or the lack of them) has little to do with that

And Celli... I suppose the problem is that vegetarianism used to be sort of this perceived weird thing that New Age-type people did, so it sort of picked up this connotation of liberalism... but now it's a pretty well-known healthy diet choice. (Or at least, it used to be until the whole weird Atkins low-carb thing came about. I'm still not sure I think that one's a good idea.)

IIRC, I also once briefly studied all of the religion types. I mean, I studied their timeline. As for the contents of those religions, even if we did, it must have been very brief because of that I don't remember anything anymore.

I think they're actually afraid that I'll become to liberal. lol Even though I'm the most conservative person in my family.

That is a completely unexistant connotation in my country: vegetarian=liberal.
