Quote from: Jeysie on April 09, 2004, 02:32:51 PMTomorrow I get to run around and go shopping... my favorite activity. Not. (I'm probably the only woman on the planet who hates shopping.)

No you're not ;)
I saw this documentary that said unlike women, men hate shopping and can actually get mild anxiety attacks if they have to go shopping alone... that describes me exactly :P

I'm leaving, LEAVING the computer now and going to take a shower and go to bed... funny how I seem to post here at the same time every day ;B

Hee. Well, I'm not *that* bad. ;) It's just a combination of...

One, I'm a tightwad spendthrift. I generally dislike spending money.

Two, I'm the kind of person who always knows exactly what they need... and then proceeds to have to go through a bajillion stores because nobody freakin' sells what I need. :P This especially happens with clothing, which brings me to...

Three, I detest trying on clothing. Unfortunately, with my body shape, I have to try everything on. ::)

Going shopping with Harrison is amusing, if only because it's a complete reversal of stereotypical roles... I'm the one grabbing exactly what I need quickly and being done with it, and he's the one taking forever to choose what he wants.

Fortunately, the stuff I need to get tomorrow is stuff that should be easy to find. I hope.

Peace & Luv, Liz

I just woke up.  Ain't wearin' nothing but a robe, my glasses, and an engineering ring. :)

Contemplating what I'm going to have for breakfast and growing my beard.

Why must men grow beards? :P

An engineering ring, eh? Sounds cool. What does it look like?

And I'm currently waiting for Harrison to finish getting ready, so we can then go out and run a bunch of errands.

I'm growing my beard because I had to be clean shaven for work.  Now I don't have to be.

And besides, I don't look half bad with a beard.  Check it out:

http://fly.to/ingram

As for my engineering ring, it's stainless steel that's chiselled and polished.  It's worn on the pinky finger of the working hand.  (for me, that's my right hand)  It's a Canadian tradition, and it's supposed to act as a reminder of the responsibilities engineers have to society.

If I can find a picture, I'll post it for ya.

Darn, you don't look too bad with a beard. You remind me a little of my roomie, actually, except you look with glasses. ;)

I still prefer clean-shaven, though.</stubborn> ;) But you're drooling over Say, so life is fine. ;D

And the ring thing is a pretty neat concept. Nice!

Anyhoo. Just got home after part of my errand running. Just as I figured, they didn't have the clothing size I needed. :P I did manage to get my mailings done, finally. And dinner was nice. (Blondies are the best desserts ever!) I also found a little shop that looks promising for when I finally have the money to build a new computer. Later tonight, gotta go grocery shopping. Whee.

No problem, my (facial) hair grows so slow I actually only need to shave every two days, but I still shave (my beard that is). ;D

Well, I find that with a beard, it hides my second and third chins. :D  It also helps prevent any Say-induced drool from hitting my shirt. :D

It also has a lot to do with laziness.  Shaving sucks, so with a beard, I don't have to do it nearly as much. :D

OH YAH...what I"m doing:  Giving a couple more minutes before I start cooking supper.  Listening to Mudvayne, Fear Factory, and Chimaira in da stereo.  Got some laundry on the go as well.

Yeah, James looks good with beard, and sincerely I so cant make up my mind about how men look best with or without beard, because I think not every men looks good with beard.

For example I think James looks good with beard, and I think Bob looks great with a mustache, and then another example I think Bushie looks great with out it and so does Cesar... lol can you imagine Cesar with a mustache? lol :P I cant :D

and so it goes, same with long and short hair, I think Katie looks great with short hair cuz it matches her style, and... I couldnt picture myself with short hair AT ALL :P

I DO SUPPORT FACIAL HAIR! :P but only if it looks good :D

SO WHAT AM I DOING RIGHT NOW... drinking coffee of course, my dad arrived from traveling today and hes spoiling the crap out of me making me coffee... and coffee.. and coffee.. lol :P <3 and Im listening to music while I work *stabs word* :P

For me it's a physical thing... kissing a guy with facial hair is so unpleasant. :P So as long I'm not going to kiss a guy, I'm mostly neutral about the matter, in practice. ;) I do agree that some men look better with some kind of facial hair... but any guy that would actually want to get smoochy with me, it'd have to go. ;)

As for hair length... I feel most people benefit from shorter hair lengths since it frames their face better, or gives their hair more personality, or both. But if someone does have nice, full hair that doesn't hide their face, I say show it off long if they're so inclined. :) One thing that does kind of bug me is women with long hair who always wear it all severely tied back somehow... it's like, what's the point of having long hair if you're not gonna let it flow all pretty at least a little bit?

Peace & Luv, Liz

J-ROC

Yeah, I can't kiss a guy with a beard either. :D

But seriously, I've got luscious enough lips that there wouldn't be much bearded contact, and my whiskers are pretty soft, to be honest.

I dunno.  When I had that beard, I got a lot of compliments on it, so I figured I'd grow it back, now that I can.

And the laziness factor, too.  yay! :D
