It was funny because I had the mic ready to record and Koko's sitting on the desk.  As soon as he meowed, I hit the record button...and then I was doing everything I could to get him to meow again!  That was the "hmmm, what was that?" (while scratching him under the chin) line I used!

Oh well, cats are ornary!

Yeah, Koko is a siamese, so he meows VERY often.

Ours isn't siamese, but she's old, so be gentle with her.
Yes, koko the human voice is much nicer to listen to than koko the cat voice. Strange though, our cat doesn't meow in the same way, at least not all the time, and most certainly not when you start to stroke her. Once you are stroking her, she either stays silent, or she goes into 'purring'-mode.
