Anyhoo. Aside from the potential lousy side effects, it's a prescription med, and I don't have any health insurance.

NO HEALTH INSURANCE?? what do you do if you're sick then? lie down in the street and die? aren't you supposed to get insurance from your workplace or something?

I don't think health insurance pays for that anyway (at least mine didn't). The side effects aren't really THAT bad - you just have to have your liver functions tested every week or so to make sure it's not doing any damage, and not get pregnant while you're taking it and about a year afterwards. As for the moisture problem - there are creams that can deal with that.

Health insurance is evil to deal with, but I agree....you ought to figure out some way of getting some!  Is your income in that middle range where you can't afford most of it and you don't qualify for government/whatever help?  That's where my family is.  We're using some self-employed association's health insurance.  I dunno, kinda fuzzy on the details.

The Bad: People who make promises they don't keep....and people who's conversations with you are just excuses for why they can't talk to you or keep their promises...

Overhere, almost anybody (maybe not the homeless people) has health insurance. It doesn't matter whether you work or don't , or how much money you make. You don't have to pay extra, it's just deducted (a fixed percentage) from your salary (if you work). Our social security system might cost much, but it's worth it.

Yeah, our health insurance is a HUGE issue.  That's not just the Bad, it's the Worse.  I wish we had a system like what you've got CC, sounds like it works pretty well.
