No, no. Those were the old names--you'll notice for example that what was the title of Chapter 7 is now Episode 3. We've posted the full list of Episode titles before around here somewhere; the remaining ones are:

Episode 4: 'Tis In My Memory Locked, And You Yourself Shall Keep The Key Of It
Episode 5: A Thousand Times Goodnight
As chapter 1's name has stayed the same, and 6's name is now 2's, you see where that was coming from?
Stuart "Sslaxx" Moore.

KatieHal

Yeah, I see how you could make that connection :) The renaming and how it works kind of shows how we condensed the story, actually--things that were going to be revealed in Chapter 7 are now in Episode 3, for example. Much of Chapter 3 is now Episode 5 (they don't have the same title, but you'll notice they are very similar). Chapter 6's title became Episode 2's because a lot of that information was moved into Episode 2 (specifically, talking about the two societies, of course). We basically moved things to where it made sense to put them in the re-organized game, and the renaming of Episodes was based on what was now fitting.

Shakespeare is one of those things I find easier to understand watching than trying to read.

While you can't understand everything (there are alot of double entendres that are lost in modern language), seeing what goes on on screen or stage gives important context to what is being said.
This is very true. A good performance goes a long way in making up for language difficulties. I remember reading one of Shakespeares' plays (don't remember which one) with extensive explanatory footnotes. There was at least one triplle entendre in there!

Yeah, I've noticed/learned that a lot of Shakespeare is much easier to comprehend when you see it performed. Which makes sense, they are plays after all.

But even the 'boring' classes on classic literature (and I agree, they very much can be boring! English major, I sat through a lot of them!), it is important to know what's been done before, why it had impact enough to still be studied today, the way words are and have been used, how they can be used in different ways, how they've evolved, along with people's styles and tastes.

Well I guess before I get to writing any games, I'll have to start reading and understanding shakespeare. Time to shelve that game idea I had... What a shame, too. It had such potential...

Haha, I'm not saying one can't forge on ahead with their own work regardless--just that studying what's come before has a place and a reason for being done and being encouraged. :)

Well, perhaps I should study shakespeare a bit more before I go any further with the idea regardless. Although my co-writer is a fan of shakespeare I think, so she's got me covered in that regard...

We are currently testing our download servers and mirrors to make sure everything is in tip-top shape. Don't worry, it's coming. Be patient. Only a few more hours until it goes live.

Ill take this into consideration, cesar. I truly do want to be a writer, so ill give Shakespeare an honest shot. If the internet hadn't intervened in my life, I'd probably be at a much different place than I am now. I think if I really sit down and devote time to it, I can understand it. I'm only 19, so I have much yet to learn.

Also, to clarify a bit with the us time: there are at least two us timezones. Katie and I are in the eastern time zone. Many others are in the Pacific time zone. While its morning for Katie and I, its still night for others. My aunt in California is still fast asleep right now.

Heh, well, I didn't necessarily say you need to read Shakespeare to be able to write a game script. What I'm mostly saying is that knowledge of the classics, literature, philosophy, arts, etc, as boring as it can be sometimes (believe me, there's nothing more exasperating than sitting through a class of Plato and Socrates when you've only slept 3 hours the night before), it slowly not only starts to become interesting, but you start to connect the dots in your head and see the reason for so many things nowadays. But you have a great attitude about it. Most kids your age would not listen :)

But anyhow, back on topic, My Only Love Sprung From My Only Hate, here it comes!!!

WOOHOO! I'm very ecstatic about this!

Cez, can you give me any advice on script-writing? With your permission, I'll send you an e-mail with details. When you're not busy with Episode 3 stuff. There's a lot to do right now lol.

He could just send us the script to TSL so we could learn by example. ::)

LOL, actually, the script is in many places and pieces at this point. Putting it together in one single document would be a challenge in and of itself!

Let me try. See what I can do. You never know what a fresh set of eyes can do! Plus, it'll be some good experience for me. Although having Katie and Cez's input is also very helpful. Looking at a script is certainly all good and well, but nothing beats having a real person (or several) go over and tell you what you messed up on and that you should bury your hopes and dreams... :P (kidding of course)

No, I literally meant it's scattered on personal computers, shared docs, an episode here, another there, new material in this place, and so forth. The only way for a new person to gather it into one place would be for someone else who already has some pieces of it to do that in the first place.

Anyways, this is off-topic. Back to being excited for Episode 3!
