These guys are true VIPs(10meg).

Savage

You'd need to play the game to really understand what's going on, but it's still worth watching.

Savage Demo

One more thing.

Ten little Savages, run forth from base to fight!

Something else that probably won't make sense.

P.S. If I make a Savage thread, will it get locked?

Jael

Hard not to agree with (or at least sympathise) these people: I Hate Computers. This one is from the same site, but there's a lot of content, and this one was exceptionally good: Anyone who trusts technology, doesn't understand technology.
:suffer: ;D

Came across this Flash movie today (make sure to watch it with your sound on!):

One part funny, one part creepy. :P

That site rocks, Jael... thanks! ;D

Anyhoo. Here's something non-geeky for a change:

How to tell if you're American

Personally, I disagree with the page's opening paragraph... I still think "American Culture" is an oxymoron. But the document is still interesting to read. I have to wonder when it was written, though, since the "pop culture icon" sections seem skewed towards older folks. (Really... how many ~20-year-olds know Tony Bennett or Linda Ronstadt? Heck, I don't even know either person's works that well, and I have "old-fashioned tastes". But I digress...)

There's similar documents on the site written up for other countries as well. Like "How to tell if you're Canadian" and whatnot.

Whee! I've been stockpiling for you guys. ;)

Preparing For Emergencies - From the HM Department of Vague Paranoia

Someone who lives in the UK would probably find more specific humor from this, but I'm amused by the general sentiment of it.

Worst Album Covers Ever

Note: Material may be mildly offensive/moderately disturbing and may cause sanity damage. VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK. ;)

Want Your Kid to Disappear?

Since I've experienced first-hand how completely useless the Department of Social Services is in helping delinquent kids to behave better and get along better with their parents, I find this equally contempt-worthy, not to mention disturbing.

Real-Life Transparent Aluminum?

OK, I guess it's techinically "Transparent *Alumina*", but still, it's close enough to make a Trekkie go "Wow, way cool!".

Peace & Luv, Liz

Louisiana Night

Is that "Transparent *Alumina*" real?

If so...

Wow, way cool!

Jeysie

Well, there's this:

Slashdot post

and this:

Some other site's post

on the matter.

Tolkien Bumper Stickers

I rediscovered this link today:

Acts of Gord

It chronicles the tales of a video game store owner who deals out fairness to respectable customers, and sarcastic retribution to moron customers. Quite funny, especially if you've ever been a beleaguered retail employee. (raises hand) Warning: Contains some instances of foul language.

I remember that site! It was this kinda cultish obsession some people had on a forum I used to post at...

Heh, I thought you'd like that one. My particularly like  "HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DEMAND WARS
IN EASIER-TO-FIND COUNTRIES". It always seems to remind me of a scene from The Simpsons where Kent Brockman is rehersing the news broadcast:

"An earthquake in Koh . . . kooal . . . koala loom . . . kohala lumpah . . . France"

Virtual Bubble Wrap

P.S. This book is fun!  ;D

Edit: Bubble Wrap wouldn't be considered a Flash game, would it?  ???

Haha, I doubt it.  It's not much of a game.  ;-D

I'll be checking out sooner than that - on Wednesday, October 15, 2042. It's strange though, I get about 40 years less to live simply for being a pessimist rather than an optimist :P
