I don't think a patch to skip the arcade sequence will ever come from Phoenix Online. Frankly, I like the arcade sequence in that it gives us something new and refreshing. As an employee of POStudios (I suppose "volunteer" would be the more correct term, as I don't get paid, nor does anyone else on the team), I can tell you that there are currently no plans for a patch of this kind. Whether or not this will remain true in the coming months I couldn't tell you. The only way a patch could possibly get made is if there is enough support. But we'd need to see it. I'm afraid that one post isn't going to cut it. Alternatively, you could just watch through the arcade sequence online to see what (very important) plot bits you'd be missing, and then obtain a save from someone that's just passed the arcade part. But then you lose the magic of actually playing the game. Yes, the arcade sequence can be tough. And I'm the first one to admit that I'm in a game for fun and not for a challenge. But for a genre that so rarely goes out it's established barriers, I'm very glad that we (Phoenix Online) did. As I've said, I actually like the arcade sequence. It brings something new to the table, and it's a singular sequence. It doesn't dominate the whole game, and it happens very close to the end, so you can still enjoy most of the game. If anything, the arcade sequence makes you more alert.
