Neither can i now. Their flash gallery must've died somehow. Or perhaps signing up to the site is required.

In the end, if these guys are the first to actually complete a half decent remake of KQ4, good on them. Its just that, sofar in time, the available stills look too 'Nancy Drew' and pretty for my taste. I still prefer the vga illustrative style to support the visual continuity of the games, but heck a free game is a free game!

Also, sofar it seems that not much thought has been put into the music/speech of the game yet, that is:

Quote*We haven't planned on adding (voice pack) as of yet. With that said, we may release an additional voice pack when the game and programming/scripting are mostly done.

Its reasonable to assume sound will indeed be added, speech being my main worry, but that 'maybe' tone doesnt sound too reassuring. 3D animation with mute characters?  :-\

On another note, i wonder how theyre going to tackle the
Pandora's Box portion of the episode, and if it will tie into what we know now about the Silver Lining at all.
As its an amateur effort, it's not surprising to me that they may not have voices for it.

The screenshots I saw before they went poof looked a lot more like 3D Poser images than in-game shots, I have to admit. But I do hope someone actually finishes a KQ4 remake!

I can see the galleries...they just take a friggin' month to appear.

I have mixed feelings on what I'm seeing here.  On the one hand, some of the landscapes actually look okay, with Cupid's pool being a standout.  On the other hand, the models generally look...well, weird.

Rosella is not at all how I pictured her (I pictured her being, y'know, attractive?), but the biggest offender is the cave troll.  If you have to show us what it looks like, please don't make it look like Bigfoot's wimpy little brother, K guys?  In fact, I'm opposed to seeing what it looks like, period.  I LIKED how its appearance in the original game was left up to your imagination, and how all you saw was a pair of green, glow-in-the-dark eyes and a barely-visible silhouette.  That's part of what made that sequence so memorable.

No!  No contrived overarching villains or prophecies!  Bad fanboys!  Bad!!

THIS.  It was already a stretch shoehorning the Father into KQ3 as it is.  KQ4 certainly doesn't need to be any more complicated.

...though I wouldn't mind if AGDI did a short stand-alone game wherein Graham kills the Father.  The key word there being standalone.
But... I like the The Father plot.

Don't get me wrong, I don't HATE it, I just feel like it's its own story that needs to be told apart from the rest...that, and newcomers to the franchise who opt to play the remakes over the originals will be left feeling lost and confused when an important plot point like the Father just disappears into oblivion post KQ3 with no explanation given.  Have you seen that thread on the IA forums entitled "What happened to the Father?"  That was just painful to read.
I have no mouth, and I must scream.

GrahamRocks!

Well, I guess it's a good thing I explained to my friend Cassie (I think I'm sloooowly turning her into a KQ fan after telling her so much about the series including TSL!) about the "AGD Split Timeline" and that if she ever plays the remakes and starts to learn more about The Father, that he and Shadrack aren't the same guy.

Lambonius

Good Lord.  Even TSL's Alexanime is better than this.  ;)

Yeah - he, you know, as fan-art, this isn't bad.  There's obviously some love and homage there.

That's what this is at this point.  It's just fan-art.  Making a game take much, much, more.  I'm sure Karen knows this - she worked on MMGames KQIV, and they had a lot done on that - and they still didn't have a playable game.

The characters, though, look like 3D characters.  Soulless zombies.

Well, that's appropriate for the graveyard, anyway. :P

Has anyone seen that Nightfable and Agentfable from the adventuregamestudio forum are making a KQ4 remake.  I personally LOVE Nightfable's graphics.

The site they have for the project is http://www.kq4remake.com/index.html  Check out the gallery!  The image of Lolotte makes me want to cackle evilly    ;D

GrahamRocks!

Not too shabby! Looks almost like something from AGDI.

For some reason, I find the GIF of Graham's heart attack to be pretty amusing.  Maybe it's because he isn't having a heart attack so much as he is strangling himself.
I have no mouth, and I must scream.

Heh heh, my thoughts exactly!  ;D

I probably shouldn't laugh though, being strangled OR  :suffer: ing a heart attack must be very painful.

MusicallyInspired

It was probably a ripped and altered sprite from another Sierra game.

Numbers

Actually, it's the exact same animation that you see whenever Mordack "force chokes" Graham at the end of KQ5.

MusicallyInspired

That's what I figured. I meant altered in the sense that they changed his clothes.

DawsonJ

I like the work they've done, but the general appearance of the backgrounds and characters looks a little too much like the original.  I was hoping to see more distinct visual updates. (Especially since this is likely our best chance to ever see a remake of KQIV.)

It's kind of trippy to see the characters physically outside the box when speaking. Hmm...

crayauchtin

I don't understand why there's a KQ5 gallery.... did KQ5 really need to be uglified? And the other games too? Are they just remaking the whole series in this 3D style? I have to say... I can tell their hearts are in the right place, but I don't really like the art style.

That said, any remake of KQ4 that gets completed I am 300% behind. I don't think this is going to get completed if they're working on the whole series though.

The time really has come to have a KQ4 remake.  There've been sooooo many false starts on that project.  I hope they succeed - beautifully or not. The original KQ4 never really did it for me.  I recently watched Enchantermon's LP of it and I found myself fast-forwarding through too much of it. (Not the player's fault.  ;D  I blame the nut behind my mouse.  ;))

Blackthorne

A KQIV remake would be really cool; and I hope someone does it and gets to release it.  I can say that IA will never be doing a KQIV remake, though - so there's some certainty in that!
