Is it true that King's Quest was in it's day (and perhaps today) the greatest selling computer game (or game) series of all time?

On all the KQ books and game boxes, they like all say "#1 Best Selling Computer Game" but then again..those were a while ago $:-\$

The actual title was '3-D Animated Adventure Game', for you folks' info.

And KQ certainly was the best selling game at the time; check the KQ4 Promotional movie for example.

However, it only says KQ is the best selling graphic adventure, not the best selling game of all times
