Did anyone else notice that Alexander is wearing the SAME EXACT CLOTHES at his wedding in KQ6 that he wore for the duration of his adventure? He was shipwrecked and thus full of sand from the beach, roamed through the land of the Green Isles, through the icky Land of the Dead, all in those clothes, and he wore them for his wedding.

What makes it worse is that the game specifically says the wedding takes place "One week later" after the fight with Alhazred. Which means he's wearing clothes to his wedding that he's worn for at least a week, if not longer.

At least in KQ2, which was made 7 years earlier with much less money and less developed technology, Graham changes into a tuxedo for his wedding.

He has 14 versions of the same outfit.

I have the same thing.  I have 14 Pink Floyd T-Shirts and 14 pairs of jeans.  I wear them all in a row for two weeks.  Everyone wonders how I manage to still smell Gain fresh in the duration.

That's like that episode of Doug, where everyone thinks he's trying to copy the celebrity Dylan Farnum by wearing his outfit.  He opens his closet in front of his friends and shows them that it's completely full of only his green sweater-vests, white T-shirts, and khaki shorts. ;D

Actually, we don't know what he was wearing during the duration of that one week. Considering the game time-jumps a week into the future, we have absolutely no idea what he did during that week. Furthermore, the reason he never changed during his adventure in the Land of The Green Isles is because he was shipwrecked; he had no other clothes to wear besides what he was wearing when he came. I'm sure that, if he could have, he would have. He could very easily have worn something else (likely loaned to him by Cassima) during the one week intermission while his other clothes were being washed. A very logical, and very likely, answer, I think.

Yeah, but what about at the wedding? He couldn't have worn something snazzier? Surely Shamir could've given him a new pair of clothes?

Arkillian

And he could've had one tailor made in the Green Isles while he was there to replace his old one :/

He wanted to look his Davenry best.  That's the only article of clothing that survived from his homeland.  He needed to represent.  ;B

And don't call him Shirley.

I don't know very many people who'd wear the same pair of clothes they go on a journey with at their wedding.
He was in the Isle of the Dead in this outfit, amongst all the foul and dead zombies and spooky spirits. He journeyed in the Catacombs, a house for the dead, in these clothes. He even sat in Charon's boat, against all of the ghosts, in this outfit. It'd be like wearing the same outfit that you wore at a funeral to your wedding.

Lambonius

I wonder why he didn't gel his hair for the wedding.

He was considering going for that look at the wedding.

Wait, is that bad manners...? ;)

No, I hear you, and it makes sense.  I wouldn't want to wear the exact same clothes to my wedding either, but maybe it was a point of pride for him: "Lookie here, baby, I wore these clothes my whole entire adventure in rescuing you!  Impressive, huh?  And to commemorate the adventure of marriage, I wear them to the wedding!  Mazel tov!"

I'm glad I'm not the only one who immediately thought about that upon reading the OP. ^_^
So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Well, we know that's what Graham's closet looks like. He's just taking after his dad!

And hey, one week of the same clothes? Nothing compared to how long he wore the same rags when he was Mannanan's house I'll wager.

(Although, why get grossed out about the one week? He also wore them throughout his entire journey for three months overseas apparently!)

I think OP is actually referring to just KQ6 and does make an interesting point that you'd think those designers could've been bothered to change his outfit for just that one scene.  The outfit you've been romping all over the country and in the ocean with probably isn't going to be ideal for getting married in.

For what it's worth, it's not like Cassima bothers to change her clothes even once either. She's wearing the same outfit seen in Alex's magic mirror vision of her throughout the game, right down to the wedding.  :suffer:

This is true. The outfit isn't exactly wedding cut even if a replica was made. It would've been nice to see him in a more formal outfit, or something a different colour to show they bothered.

One week is more than enough time to have his clothes dry cleaned and pressed!
Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

Oooooooh, a very good point.  Let's just say that they both have an excuse--Cassima's been stuck in her room for six months and can only wear whatever she has in her closet (it's not like she can go shopping), and Alexander had been stuck on a ship for three months.  It's valid. :P
