Saw it...enjoyed it somewhat.  Very slow, and moody...but almost trying too hard to be like Kubrick's 2001...but still left me satisfied as movie goin' geek.

Seeing as it was a remake, I would really like to see the original.

Yes, 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I think it's an absolutely amazing film....but you have to be in the right mind set.  IE:  You have to know you're in for a long, slow afternoon.  Still love it, though.

For me, it's all about the present day occult mystery.  X-Files is one of my favorite TV show and Gabriel Knight is definitely my favorite adventure game series.  So for me, it was a no-brainer.

I love fantasy, sci-fi is great too but I mostly prefer older sci-fi works for some reason.
