It is still possible to find Jollo in the castle and talk to him in the short path. I feel almost certain it's still an option! If I had the game on my computer I'd try playing through to prove it, but alas I don't.

ETA: Aha! Thanks Enchantermon...I knew I wasn't just making that up in my head!

So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

QuoteActually, pure mint extract can kill Shamir. It's how you dispose of him if you don't get the lamp from the lampseller.
Not quite true: you give the mint to Shamir, which basically makes him drunk (or whatever the equivalent is for mint). Then, in his intoxicated state he tries to throw a dazzle ball at you, but it bounces off the walls and kills him.

I always thought that it was impossible to go down into the basement if you took the short path, but I could be wrong. I haven't tried the short path in years.

Hey guys, let's get back to guessing, shall we? We can discuss KQ6 elsewhere.

Nope.
I'll repost the clues since they're on another page now:

1. One puzzle has influences dating back to the Romans.
2. You come face-to-face with a pirate.
3. Double your arsenal, double your fun.

Sorry, back on topic XD

Um... Simon the Sorceror 2? I only guess that because I remember there being pirates in that one.

Is it a LucasArts game?

(I am still clueless, so I am trying to narrow stuff down, but if you refuse to answer the question, that's OK)

Does that third clue mean there are two controllable characters?

Sorry, I forgot to check this thread. :P Deloria got it right; it's Eco Quest! More specifically, The Search for Cetus.

1. The Roman-influenced puzzle is the scrambled mosaic; Romans were among the first to put pictures in mosaics (at least according to Wikipedia).
2. The pirate you come face-to-face with is the dead one (never said he was alive ;)) guarding the treasure chest above the first coral reef area.
3. The second hyperspace arsenal is Adam's trash bag. ^_^

I'm actually kind of surprised that it was guessed so quickly; I was afraid that my clues were too vague. Good job, Deloria! Your turn! :)

Thanks. :)

1. You inherit a castle.
2. You confer with dead people. :P
3. There are riddles. :P
