Okay, let's do a quick recap and some hints to solving the clues.

1. One of the earliest examples of the genre of the overarching plot was the story of Pamela Andrews.
2. There is full frontal male nudity. And one pair of titties.
3. Relationship starts from South Bend.
4. Not quite a new wonder of the world.
5. Another relationship starts from Cincinnati, Ohio.
6. Not Ambras, but real.
7. A shadow of the Sun King.

Above, I have given you the genre of one part of the plot, three notable locations from the game, the problem that our protagonist faces, a very important person and a red herring that everyone seemed to catch.

8. Stumpp or Stubbe, I've heard both.

Enchantermon

So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Enchantermon

Yeah, I get that...but I've never played a game that fits all of this. And Google isn't helping either.

I take it there's a werewolf?

I don't know if I've ever played a game that fits any of this.

YOU'RE WINNER!!! (Big Rigs forever!)
PM me some info so I can send the package.

Let the forehead slapping begin:

1. One of the earliest examples of the genre of the overarching plot was the story of Pamela Andrews.
- Pamela, or Virtue Rewarded by Samuel Richardson is regarded as one of the earliest examples of a romance novel. GK2 has an interresting love triangle going on (not going to spoil it here), which to my taste was ended rather abruptly.

2. There is full frontal male nudity. And one pair of titties.
- There is a mural painting by Josef Aigner in the study room of Neuschwanstein depicting Tannhäuser in the Venus grotto. If you click it, you can see the whole thing. In it there are some naked cherubs and women. Apparently the folks at Sierra though it was too steamy and decided to remove a couple of characters and paint on some extra clothing.

Here's the original on the right and the GK2 one on the left.

3. Relationship starts from South Bend.
- South Bend, Indiana is a sister city of Częstochowa, Poland that is a sister city of Altötting, Germany that houses the heart of Ludwig II. Interestingly both Częstochowa and Altötting house a Black Madonna.

4. Not quite a new wonder of the world.
- Neuschwanstein was a finalist as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Neuschwanstein is visited many times during the game.

5. Another relationship starts from Cincinnati, Ohio.
- Cincinnati, Ohio is a sister city of Munich, Germany, a city where Gabriel spends most of the game.

6. Not Ambras, but real.
- Ambras syndrome (also known as Hypertrichosis) is a genetic disorder that makes your hair grow abnormally. It has been called werewolf syndrome. So, not an Ambras, but a real werewolf.

7. A shadow of the Sun King.
- Ludwig II saw himself as a Moon King, a romantic shadow of the Sun King (Louis XIV).

8. Stumpp or Stubbe, I've heard both.
- Peter Sumpp or Stubb, the "Werewolf of Bedburg" (M. Summer, The Werewolf p.254). A man that under torture said that the devil had given him a belt that would change him into a wolf. Under some more fun time in the middle ages, Stumpp confessed killing about 20 people and having an affair with his daughter. Stumpp was put on a wheel, flesh cut of with hot pliers, limbs amputated, decapitated and finally burned with his still alive daughter. There is a reference to a werewolf trial in GK2, but than again it happens during the time when people used to sue pigs.

9. yee naaldlooshii
- A Navajo skin-walker. A person who could change into animals.

Search isn't worth anything without the "re" in research.

1. Small town.
2. Gathering herbs.
3. Strange murders.

I really don't understand the logic on your two "relationship starts in" [cities that aren't remotely in the game] hints.

I never said "starts in", I said "starts from". "Relationship" as in the cities are twin towns or sister cities. "Twins", "sisters", get it?

If you think that they're hard to find, all you need to do is check the Wikipedia-page of the cities in question:

I was actually thinking GK2, but several of the clues threw me off. Also, I've never played it, so I don't know enough about the plot to make sense of it.

KatieHal

Ehh....you're stretching it, MikPal :P

I was actually wondering if it was GK2 as well, since I found that was a Navajo word for shapeshifter and then I kept getting Ludwig's name popping up when I did searches for the Sun King. But the US cities made me disregard it, since the game doesn't take place in the US at all (apart from one scene with Grace at the beginning, which is in New Orleans, not South Bend or Cincinatti).

Yes, but you're asking for sister cities of sister cities. :P I think the clues would have been more accessible if we'd only had to look one city further, not two. :P

I never said where it stops. Cincinnati is a sister city of Munich, so that's not so far away. On South Bend's wikipage there were only two options of which Częstochowa was one. On Częstochowa's page you could see Altötting mentioned.

What can I say, I love finding connections.

Just curious, did anyone use anything else besides Google?
