So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

Deloria

No, no, it was just the only game I could think of that had an incongruous sequel. :P

Space! :D Extraterrestrium! :D Espace! :D

Enchantermon

Ah. I thought that was kind of vague, but I guess not.

The love of your life becomes seriously ill.
You know she's the love of your life the minute you see her, even though she's never seen you before.
This game has infuriating copy protection if you don't read ALL the material included in the box. :P

Y'know, that also sounds like Conquests of the Longbow if
... you consider almost getting burned at the stake and inhaling hella smoke a type of serious illness
Delling

Deloria, stop using Conquests of the Longbow. :P XD
Noli me tangere! Nescio ubi fuisti!
Don't touch me! I don't know where you've been!

Marquess of Pembroke
Duke of Saxony in Her Majesty's Court
Knight of the Swan for Her Imperial Highness

XD XD So it does! :P Sorry. :)

Next clue:
She's blonde. ::) And she blames you for ruining her life.

Is it Flight of the Amazon Queen.

glottal

I don't remember Faye getting sick in Flight of the Amazon Queen...

Deloria

No. :P

You can cheat on your exams.

I think I've got this one (surprisingly enough): Space Quest 5?

Yes! :P I knew that last clue would give it away. :)

In retrospect, the first three clues should have been enough. :P

Finishing this game will require the "assistance" of a displaced elephant.

In addition to the displaced elephant, the local primitive butcher's shop apparently imports hyena.

You have to use magic in order to save your poisoned beloved.

Damar

Now that, I think, is a Hugo game.  Hugo 3.

Delling

It is indeed. :P

Unfortunately, I don't know many adventure games outside of KQ and SQ. (Hugo 1-3, Simon the Sorcerer 1, and Dragonsphere... think that's it).

Damar

I wouldn't have known that one except I watched the LP of that game by PushingUpRoses and Paw just recently on That Guy with the Glasses.  Alright, let's see what I can come up with...

1. A Rodgers and Hammerstein song figures in the plot.
2. You meet a captured alien.
3. You discover that goblins are immature jerks.

glottal

I suspect the song in question is not "The Gentleman is a Dope," which is too bad, since it's my favourite Rodgers & Hammerstein song.

Anyway, since it's been almost a week, could you at least say which musical the song's from?

Damar

I didn't want to give more clues since no one responded.  Didn't want to mistake a lull in the game for no one knowing the answer.

The song is from South Pacific.  The song is also an anachronism in the universe of the game.

I can provide supplemental clues if people still can't guess the game.

drunkenmonkey

Sorry Damar, I don't understand your logic. I think I'd hate it if you created an actual adventure game.;D

I would say Simon the sorcerer 2. :)

Damar

Hey, it's not my fault that the creators of the game decided to make you sing a Rogers and Hammerstein song as a means of calling a character to move the plot forward.  Personally, I thought it was weird when I played it as a kid.  Not my logic, not my puzzles.

And no, it's not Simon the Sorcerer 2.

It's been a while since this started so I will include a few more clues.

During this game you see:
An ancient stump covered in faint writing.
A trio of ravenous mice.
A menacing werewolf.
