It's about how Cez kidnaps Gabriel and forces him to let him be his new assistant. :)

Never played it, I'm afraid; it's not what I had in mind.

Sorry, not Project Iceman.

Here's another clue.

5) Felix Klein 1849-1925

The Brian Moriarty's version of The Dig?

1) Low and Robbins were blond originally.
2) When brinnk got his hand stuck, there was originally supposed to be a "timer" with the rising water.
3) Originally the crew had a fourth member, Toshi Olema, who dies by acid.
4) The final version of The Dig was released in 1998.
5) Originally the crew would have passed through a giant Klein bottle that would have switched them from righties to lefties.

Yes!

Sorry about that, it was a bit of a curveball--inspired by the previous question. But you got it.

Okay so the last few games and their hints were a bit pretentious. Am I wrong? Would 9 out of ten adventurers get these right.;D Can we get back to actual adventure games. Surely there are many germanized adventure games not yet used if you have run out of ideas.

germanized adventure games

You mean "germanized" like in SOF2 where the humans were replaced by robots and a text was added to the beginning explaining that the game takes place in a parallel dimension where humans lost the war with robots and that's why you're shooting robots?

This should take you to a place you want to go. Perhaps even to a place where everything's new and not what it seems.
Here are the clues:

1. Part of this game was done by the same fine folks who did the Magical Animations on the famous CD-i games Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon.
2. The game does involve a retcon of something that happened earlier. Some say that it was for the better since they consider what was there before the retcon as offensive.
3. When compared to the rest of the series, the hands in this one are deformed.

I think that should be enough. Hopefully it doesn't get you excited enough to run and hide. But oh well, you know what they all say about growing.

Deloria

The deformed hands thing makes me think of KQVII. :P

And KQ7 it is!!

1) Animation Magic did animations on the beginning and ending movies, and also on the first chapter.
2) The Game retcons Edgar's past. From troll to fairy.
3) This is the only game in the series where the characters have four fingers, but strangely only in the opening cinema.

And pretty much everything else I wrote was from the opening song of KQ7.

Now good night, I'm off to see Transformers 3, because I want to laugh at a Victorias Secret model trying to act.

Just trying to shake this thread back to life again.

Deloria, you got the right answer, or would you like to pass your turn to someone else?

Delling

Deloria has been away for a while... not sure when she'll be back :-\ ... in any case, I don't think she's likely to answer.

Probably means someone else can take it. *runs and hides so as to escape any beheading-type reprisals*

1. Twistee, not twister.

2. Plot is a rip-off from Moonraker.

3. Powhatan, Lois Lane, Thulsa Doom

You & me, both! I never paid enough attention to most games to notice a lot of these details. I'm just pedantic regarding words, so I miss the deeper subjects. Instead, I just notice every spelling error.

Anyone fancy starting this up again?

I've played a bunch of Interactive Fiction which are technically adventure games, so I can befuddle all of you :D
