I've been looking through the nominees for the BOBs awards, and I find many of them quite interesting.

I'm still going through them (and I don't understand all of the languages, of course), but some which stood out to me are:

This is a blog with very, very adult content.  It's so adult, I'm not even sure it's appropriate to even link to this forum, so I'll err on the side of not linking.  However, I this this Kenyan woman is a very good writer.

There's a lot of material to go through, as more stuff stand out I'll update this thread.

It's an award for best international blogs.  I was also impressed by Rantings of a Sandmonkey and Gawaathi.
