I beat it in 2 hours. Gameplay is the same as always. The story is really getting good though. In fact, this episode started going a little darker than the BTTF norm. But not in a bad way. And done in a very good way. It's already started controversy among fans, however. A lot of people are saying it's the worst episode yet for the story direction alone. But I think it's fantastic. And the puzzles, while still really easy and few in number, were a little more interesting this time. A little. All in all, this is an improvement over the snooze-fest non-stop cinematic dialogue-laden experience that was Episode 3.

Ugh....beware, Mac users.  It's buggy as hell.  I can't even save my game because the option doesn't show up on the menu screen!

I'm still in episode 1 XD I just haven't had the time play the series at all. I'll get to it though, that's for sure.

No, I'm talking about their Mac native version.  If you're suggesting I try the PC version in wine...eh, it might be more trouble than this turd of a game is worth, frankly.

I have the same problem in the PC version.  I was hoping it was at least auto saving, but nope.  I played for about 45 minutes and have no progress to show for it when I start it up.  I guess I wont lay it unless I have a good few hours to make sure I finish it.  That or I might not worry about playing it at all.  The story is at least intriguing even though the game itself sucks.
I didn't know how much I really enjoyed the Sierra Adventure Games until I played them all over again 15 years later.

Random people have been having this problem since the first BTTF episode. I haven't run into it myself.

I found out why it is happening.  If you use an older episode's shortcut, you for some reason can't save your game.  If you use the icon in the games folder for the specific episode the problem goes away.

I agree that the story is improved, and the story really is the only reason why I will finish the game.  The puzzles were not that much more interesting to me at all.  In fact, they still seem to be recycled puzzles from the previous episodes.

Maybe that's why I never ran into it, then. I keep installing and uninstalling when I beat them and running them each through their own shortcut in Steam.
