Has anybody seen this already? I read that it was released here on a DVD, so I just want to know if it delivers what the trailer promises. Looks like a big budget version of Det Okända (The Unknown).

Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

I wish I could, but alas!  They're kids and I must adhere to the confidentiality laws lest I want to go to prison for the next ten to twenty-five years. :(

Looks really interesting! I'd watch that movie, altough I am kind of sceptical about the thing that the trolls can smell Christians... It's definitely something new, but it sounds strange...

So what if I am, huh? Anyways, I work better when I'm drunk. It makes me fearless! If I see a bad guy, I'll just point my sword at him and saaaaaaaaaay, "Hey! Bad guy! You're not s'posed to be here! Go home or I'll stick you with my sword 'til you go, 'Ouch! I'm dead!' Ah-ha-ha!" Ha-ha. *hic* See? Ain't no one gonna be messin' wit' ol', Benny!

The idea apparently goes back a ways to Norwegian and/or Norse fairy tales.

Applying it to Muslims? That is new.

they might have had the fear that they'd be judged if they excluded the Muslims... I can imagine all the Arabic countries shouting: "That's not fair! We wanna be killed by trolls, too, you Islamophobic bastards!"

Well, finally saw the movie. I liked it, a bit boring at some points, but if you want to see what western Norway looks like this is a perfect travel video. Yeah, it propably was partly inspired by The Blair Witch Project, but then again Blair Witch was partly inspired by C'est arrivé près de chez vous (or Man Bites Dog) and Cannibal Holocaust. Personally I think the visuals and sudio were more inspired by the dogma way of filmmaking.

Yeah, it's an old thing. I quess one has to understand how christianity came to scandinavia and how it combined stuff from the forest worshippers with their own. It's easier to convert when you have a clear "good or bad"-point of view. There are some pretty cool to some or horrible to other stories from that time. Take for example the story of bishop Henry and Lalli. Personally I love it that Lalli is considered a hero here.
